My son and I stopped in for the first time, after an early afternoon at the beach. I have severe gluten allergies and stomach diseases and I was beyond excited to be able to eat without worrying I’d get sick! The salmon on the gf bun was delicious, as was my sweet potatoes. My son devoured his chicken sandwich and chips. The place was chill, comfortable and clean. Customer service was excellent, with all the employees working together and good presentation was beautiful. This is exactly what I needed. I even had leftovers, because the portions are huge.

Excellent experience! Healthy gluten free options and so many beautiful options! Made from scratch and oh so yummy. The pickled green tomatoes added a nice touch to the salmon sandwich. Their homemade hummus is exceptional and served like art. Their chia pudding is sugar free and perfect to share. Kyle served us with super friendly customer service skills. We will be back!

Generally the food is good but unfortunately the chicken taco was not this time around. Unable to eat the Avocado (black ) n the tacos (overcooked very hard). Unacceptable when charging $24. Order was pickup, so could not get remediation.

I went to the Beach Blvd location with a friend because she eats a plant-based diet. I am more of an omnivore. This place specializes in healthy food for people with varieties of eating restrictions/preferences. Totally gluten free and with truly vegan meals (not lame vegan options) it is a great choice for mixed groups.

I had the curried cauliflour salad which had a great combination of goodies included. Each bite had a unique blend if flavors. Come in for the eclectic flavor combinations in”real” food without additives or processing!!!

Great place to grab a eat. Parking and seating always easy. The workers are all so friendly and cool. Lastly, make sure to try the chicken and broccoli dish – delicious!!! Highly recommend this place.

We visited as a group on Dec 7 and I can’t recommend it enough!! The food here is fresh and clean. I had the Mahi Mango entree and the flavor is spectacular. We found out that this is the only certified gluten free restaurant in several hundred mile radius.
I wanted a little extra spice so I added the chili crunch over the dish. It was so delicious. We ordered so many different dishes to taste everything.

One of the best place I’ve eaten at in the Jax/PV area. I had the DIY chicken tacos. Everything about it was delicious. Chicken and rice were perfectly cooked. The green salsa was full of flavor. Tortillas were heated properly. The cauliflower tajin was also a big hit. Nicely grilled and perfectly seasoned. I tried my wife’s ginger chicken broccoli dish. Once again, full of delicious flavors. The charred broccoli was my favorite part of that dish. I couldn’t find a single negative thing to say about the food. Now the staff? They were all wonderfully nice, starting with the young woman who took our order. She greeted us with a friendly and contagious smile. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

Shockingly Bad Food

I went to McFlamingo for the first time today, and my guest and I both ordered the DIY Chicken Tacos. They were horrible.

The rice was overcooked, dry, and tasted like rancid oil, with huge hard clumps throughout. The chicken was extremely overcooked and dry. The cilantro was spoiled. The tiny cup of avocado was so small it didn’t even cover a bite. The tortillas were stiff, plastic-like, and almost impossible to eat. The tomatoes were completely unripened.

It was embarrassing because I had heard great things, but this was terrible. At $21 a plate, it felt like a joke. We both agreed it was one of the worst restaurants we’ve ever been to in Jacksonville.

Nothing was prepared by a real chef, just thrown together by whoever was in the kitchen.

I would not waste your time or money.

How was McFlamingo? Absolutely fantastic. I have a very picky diet, and this is one of the only restaurants I can eat at and feel BETTER after the meal. Typically get the chicken and broccoli on rice, salads and burgers are delicious as well.

Seed oils, and multiple meats that made me sick. I try to give these places a shot and support local businesses, I spent thousands here guaranteed over time. Unfortunately the owner is a very aggressive person who responds in a nasty manner to reviews. You’re in the wrong industry for somebody who does not want any feedback. I continually supported this place with my family and friends. But seed oils??? Come on wake up and smell the coffee, that’s asking for all kinds of health issues. You present yourself as a clean establishment that uses high quality ingredients which is why you must charge extra, anybody with a brain can understand that’s how that works. Now I am finding out you are using farmed raised salmon and vegetables that aren’t organic along with toxic seed oils!! I am sure you are saving a lot of money using seed oils while you make the community sick. I hope you do the right thing and get your business in line to actually have healthy options with no car lubricant. You be ashamed of yourself and the way you speak to the people who put food on your table by supporting your business. Knowledge is power, Erik.
