In this chicken, I saw God. It is the perfect chicken sandwich. I doubt any other chicken can compare. Prince’s, Hattie B’s, Party Fowl, they have nothing on McDougals. It is Nashville’s best chicken place hands down and you can fight me on that. (Plus the Brentwood location is super clean, friendly and has great service.)

I’m sooo happy there is another McDougals location closer to where we live. We have gone several Saturdays in a row and had a 5 star experience each time. It makes me kind of sad how little business they’ve had each time we’ve went. There haven’t been more than a few tables taken when we go. The food is delicious and it is brought out to us within 6-10 mins. I personally would consider it on the pricier side but I think it is worth it. A very kind lady, who I can only assume is an owner or manager, can be see working diligently each time we are there and she has checked on us to make sure we are satisfied each time we go. The other staff members are GREAT too. I prefer the thick-cut fries here compared to the Nashville location’s shoestring style fries. I personally get the buffalo sauce (it is not too spicy, more so tangy/sour, almost pickley?) and the ranch, which is SO YUMMY. Their soda machine has the good ice, the crunchy pebble ice, and the sodas are so crisp. We’ve won 3 ducks out of the 50c claw machine! The ONLY complaint I can make is that we arrived on a Sunday recently at 2:32pm and they were already closed although the hours online said 11-3. We were going to place to-go orders, knowing they closed at 3pm, but didn’t get the chance. Absolutely does not change my mind about how awesome I think this location is, but I want to be 100% honest. We’ll probably be back next weekend lol

I wanted to try places I couldn’t get at home so I was advised to try McDougal’s. While customer service was nice, the food left a little more to be desired. While not bad, it was just food with sauce on it and just okay sauce at that. The pictures kind of even show what I mean. I’ll have to try them again when in the area.

This is a new location in Brentwood. Restaurant was clean and the line is short when they first open. As the lunch crowd arrives though, expect a longer line stretching to or out the door. You place your order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The staff was friendly and helpful which is why this got 4 stars instead of 3. The food however was okay to good. The chicken tenders are large and the food is filling. The sweet tea here is Gold Peak and the soda dispenser is one of the older styles with a small selection.

I’ve been eating at McDougal’s for over 15 years. From their old Belcourt and Franklin locations to their new Nashville and Brentwood locations, it has remained the same restaurant I’ve always known and loved. This specific review is for their new Brentwood location that opened in December of last year. From the great location itself to their incredible and friendly staff (Kendra and Daniel specifically), it’s impossible for me to find a reason to not want to return nearly every week. Whether it’s the tender basket tossed in Honeybee sauce with McDougal’s sauce on the side, or the tender basket tossed in Gold sauce with ranch on the side, the chicken is always tasty and consistent. I love McDougal’s!

Sorry I didn’t have pictures with this I was so hungry I forgot and thought about it afterwards I can tell you that everything was good they’re known for their chicken tenders I got chicken tenders fries and a drink the chicken tenders were tossed and buffalo sauce their fries we’re fresh cut the ranch dressing seem like it was in house as well the customer service was amazing. If you are ever in the Nashville or Brentwood area I would definitely recommend this place. Really good tenders overall really nice size the only knock I would have it was not for me but for someone else coming it may be considered a bit too pricey.

My first visit was a tad disappointing. I ordered a salad for dine in. It arrived in a plastic container much like a drive through or gro store and for the price the portion was very small. I did see that the portion sizes of the others I dined with seemed better so maybe order the chicken and not a salad.

We LOVE McDougal’s. Such a cool atmosphere and really good food. Honey good sauce is my favorite. Family owned business, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure you are taken care of. One of our go-to’s in Brentwood.
