As a delivery driver, I sometimes lose all motivation when picking up orders from your restaurant.
The same situation happens every night after 10 PM: the lobby closes, and the restaurant operates only through the drive-thru. Why do couriers have to wait in line for 30+ minutes just to pick up a prepaid order?
The average payout per order is $5-6, yet I waste valuable time and miss out on other deliveries. Why not keep a dedicated window open for couriers so we can quickly pick up orders as they are ready?
Instead, the pickup window is closed, over 20 orders pile up (as seen in the photo), and both couriers and regular customers are forced into the same long line. The consequences are:
1. Food becomes inedible. Fast food loses its quality and gets cold within 10 minutes of sitting in a bag.
2. Traffic hazards. The entrance and exit to the restaurant, especially from Northern Lights, get completely blocked by cars.
3. Courier workflow is disrupted. We shouldn’t be wasting 30+ minutes just to collect an order that could have been handed over immediately.
The solution is simple: the courier pickup window should remain open after 10 PM and not depend on the manager’s mood—open today, closed tomorrow. This would benefit customers, couriers, and your business alike.

Busy mid town location, the staff is wonderful. I wish I got the one drive thru guy name, but even with a busy breakfast rush he still cracked a joke to make the wait good and it help start my work day off to a good start.
Wait times can reflect the fact its a busy location. But the food is fresh and again all the stuff is great. I usually go for breakfast or a quick grab lunch if my work day is hectic.

Service is spectacular, food is good but needs to be warmer. It seems fresh it’s just never hot like most other McDonalds.
Atmosphere, who ever the security company is that has the contract needs to have the officers get out of their cruisers and confront the homeless people that hang out at the order windows in the pickup windows and heckle the customers. Security seems to be content just sitting in their cars and watching not actually doing anything The presence isn’t enough to remove the illness people from the property.

asked for a big order and they started tripping on it girl in the drive thru giving out orders is rude talking shit about my order… they gave me 2 cheeseburgers with no meat….and the girl in the drive thru just gave me my bags and didn’t even say anything…just gave me a bad look….Manager should fire her she has a bad attitude.. and bad customer service this was on 10/19/2025 Sunday between 5:30pm-6:30pm…don’t know her name but manager should talk to her and their crew about doing the job right and with a positive attitude also need better customer service. This happens too many times… this is why im posting a bad review.

So disappointing! Please make sure you double check your sandwiches before taking off because these employees don’t care about what is being requested on the receipt & it’s obvious look at all the wrong orders that people reviewed on. I’m allergic to cheese so I requested NO Cheese, No Sausage, sub with REGULAR BACON & I got everything I didn’t ask for. I called @9:10am 04-5-22, they wanted me to drive back but I was already on the other side of town by then. plus that’s a waste of gas. How is it hard to do the job correct so us customers don’t have to waste gas driving back because of an employees mess up? Luckily I looked at my sandwich before taking a bite because I would be in the hospital right now, not being able to go to work the time I was scheduled due to an allergic reaction. I’ve never had this problem! You go through a drive through, sitting there having the gas running, paying McDonald’s, then heading off just to see that what you paid for isn’t what was given to you. A lot of customers had this same problem this morning, orders all wrong; people having to drive back then wait in a line again that could’ve been prevented! Plus their chicken nuggets, French fry’s tasted stale, like it was a batch from yesterday or the day before. This northern lights blvd location isn’t recommended!

It took over an hour and 3 different managers/associates to get any food at all. One male employee said he had it taken care of and then clocked out and sat at a table next to us in the lobby. The only thing he gave us was our drink cup. All of the employees were yelling at each other and all but one of them are completely incompetent. The last young man who helped me finally got our order to us but only gave us the burgers and we had to ask for the remaining items in our order, including the ice cream that the first employee had promised us an hour ago. This is by far the worst McDonalds location and experience ever!!!

Did a mobile order and had paid to have my order in 2 separate bags. The front counter attendant first told me she didn’t see where it said two bags. So I showed her. She then put them in two separate new bags set my order on the counter and went back in her stance to bag orders. After checking my order I thanked her and she ignored me poor customer service, very childish ♂️ if you trained your staff better they would know better

Tried to get some food late night yesterday around 11 ordered 2fries 2 fish filets and Oreo McFlurry
So I ordered the fries was with extra salt they gave us cold plain fries not a spec of salt on a single fry
Now the fish filets hard as hell buns and cheese was on top of the buns also cold and stale
Now the Oreo McFlurry I ordered extra Oreos the staff barely put any on there we stopped and asked them to correct it they took it back and gave us a new one and guess what still the same no change the only thing tha changed was the cheese that was finally in the bun not on it and the fries gave us the same one back the staff is the worst cant follow the instructions specially the night one and it’s not the first time it has happened nobody has a smile on their face every time they look like their being forced to work we eat McDonalds almost everyday and so far in anchorage it’s the worst location

Took my nephew here today before our Saturday endeavors. Service was great, I had the pleasure of using a computer to order so I didn’t have to interact with another human. We decided to eat in. While we waited for our food, I was surprised that they brought it right to the table! Even though they forgot my sauce for the nuggets and I had to fill my own drink, and the drink station was all out of straws – the fact they didn’t ask me for a tip when paying made it all worth while. Definitely will return.
