They both just looked at each other and acted as if they didn’t hear me or understand what I was saying. I was about to say something else then there’s another employee, a girl came over by me and said “you gotta press the submit button” I responded thinking this girl was trying to help me out, “but I don’t see any submit button on here?”
This girl looked at me angrily and kept saying about I have to “hit thr submit button” but she was not a very nice person and just doesn’t know how to make sure people whom she spoke to can understand what’s she’s talking about. I was still confused, not getting any help on paying for my Fanta free drink, and my Doordash order was ready so I went to grab the bag and said to all three employees, “okay well nevermind I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I gotta go.” Then I grabbed the bag that was made for Doordasb delivery and attempted to leave. The 1 dude yanked the brown bag back from me, and the girl went to my face and said, “I will not let you get this until I personally see you hit that submit button!”
I still didn’t understand what submit button she talked about. It took me about 5 minutes to realized that she was talking about the Doordash delivery order that I was assigned to pick up and that she wasn’t gonna let me take the order to go anywhere before she sees me confirm and/o r hit the submit button? The whole time the three employees was looking and talking to me like I was trying to steal something from there. Very unprofessional and makes me feel most definitely they really are not happy with their jobs, and it shows by they way they’re not helping customers, maybe that McDonald’s is located in a somewhat ghetto place of town maybe they were assuming that I was a bum who was trying to steal their food or something??
I left after hitting the submit button. Actually that girl hits the “confirm” button for me on the Doordash app on my phone before I was allowed to take the order to deliver to my Doordash customer. I left that ghetto McDonald’s ( 710 NE 98th Cir, Vancouver, WA 98665) very upset and irritated without the Fanta freeze because the 2 guys and this 1 girl didn’t bother to help me paying for it on the kiosk. But most importantly I was treated very badly being talked to in a very rude and disrespectful manner.
I called back about 30 minutes and asked to speak with the manager on shift. She got on the phone and said that her boss was the one who is responsible for making the employees at this McDonald’s see Doordash people to “”verify” the order before they leave the premises because there’s a lot of times when people trying to steal their food??? I asked her why do the staff there has to talk to people in that type of accusing manner and she kept saying it was her “boss’ idea” and that they have had to deal with a lot of theft of food there. She never apologized for what happened to me or addressed and answered any of my questions and concerns.
I’m not sure why every single employees at this McDonald’s seems as if they’re not trained on customer service and why are they so not happy with their jobs, because it showed thru their attitude. I will never come here again for myself, or for Doordash. Without a doubt, this McDonald’s needs to retrain their who staff about being more polite and professional on their jobs. If i could give this location a “0” point I would but the lowest is “1′ so reluctantly I had to give them “1” point, not because they had earned it.
