ordered 3 double cheeseburgers. got 3 cheeseburgers.
seriously hard to mess up. thanks mcdonalds for ruining my lunch break and leaving me starving in the cold. i crawled on my hands and knees for the 10$ to buy 3 double cheeseburgers and you screwed me over. never going back, printing 6 million stickers that say mcdonalds starves babies and plastering them everywhere. every country ever will have a museum telling the tales of how mcdonalds starved 12 million children in 2026

Absolutely disgusting. I found a hair in my breakfast sandwich this morning. Completely unacceptable. It’s clear there’s a serious lack of hygiene at this location. No one should have to worry about finding someone else’s hair in their meal.

They left a wrapper on my burger when they cooked it. I also ordered a double quarter pounder and received a single.

McDonald’s should be better than this.

Just along College Way, at the intersection of N. LaVenture, you find yourself confronted with the titular ‘College.’ A founding ground for the community’s proud few—but when they want something to chew, where do they go? Across the street, one structure: a gas station–McDonald’s combination stands tall, ready to ease the hungers brought forth from so much learning. It’s a compact spot, occupying a busy corner with nimble traffic.

On the day you appear at the quick stand, you find the parking lot bustling. Forced to park at the very corner beside the sign for the establishment, you’re provided a tremendous view of the building and the sign.

McDonald’s and Chevron—a novel combination, one the locals reverently refer to as ‘McChevron.’ It’s a title embracing the fatal juxtaposition. Does one occupy the other? More restaurant or gas station? Is it some sort of comment on the nature of our needs and convenience being so at odds?

The site itself has acquired a renown for being the host to some tragedy—gas pumps transformed to headstones on the lawn of the venture promised to bring convenience.

But as you push your way through the two-door entry, you see a path through. The convenience market is a brief trail to McDonald’s seclusion, a small but long café space nestled away from the parking lot’s painful memories. The familiar trappings are there—mixed seating options willing to accommodate a litany of uses, screen with orders upon it, colorful imagery of items on offer. Your old friend, the Kiosk, sits smugly in the center of it all. It has a kind of “Didn’t think I’d see you here!” air about it, but it should know by now you are a professional. You’ll be taking your Big Mac on points you’ve accumulated from all your McDonald’s visits. The Kiosk almost cries as it accepts your points as currency. It’s a profound exchange, a rare moment to witness for the average diner: customer and restaurant locked in a never-ending dance of gratitude, resulting in a deluxe menu item being prepared and served for nothing but the recognition of 5,000 points of one’s loyalty. You smirk as you accept your receipt—like you’d ever return this!

You place your number at your table and can’t help but feel the palpable sense of tragedy creep upon your back. Sure, the hamburger would be free, but at what cost? Do the crew members remember the fallen while they pull your fries from the oil? Boxed up and shipped away on the plastic tray that heads your way in the hands of one—she’s older, but so kind. You can see it in her face: a manager or owner. She’s seen it all before, but she’s never seen you, with your free Big Mac. And she’s happy for you.

Then you notice the decorations. Fresh-cut flowers in glass vases with clean water. String lights dangle from the ceiling. All of this, you are certain, was her work. Who could know such dedication? Why bring it here? But the answer was obvious—Stevie Wonder’s “Sir Duke” thumps along peacefully in the background, as you begin to feel it all over. Not the oblique fear that you may be the next gunned down, but the marked resilience on display in the way this McDonald’s continues to march along. Never giving up. Those tragedies may come, but inside, we keep the flowers fresh, the faces friendly, and the food free (if you have enough points).

The lessons in life take many shapes and come from diverse places. College may not be for some, but the McChevron is for all. While you’re not a student anymore, you know you still have a lot to learn. Maybe this McDonald’s could teach you a thing or two.

I go to this McDonald’s often and this time was by far the best time! I went there around 6:30 pm tonight and the guy who took my order was very polite as well as the guy who took my payment (possibly the same guy). The girl who gave me my food was very nice as well. The food was AWESOME! My burger wasn’t falling apart and the fries were perfect. Overall by far my best experience. Whoever worked the pay station and took my order as well as the girl who gave me my food deserve a pay raise!

And I never leave reviews but this was worth it!

It’s McDonald’s. Lots of fast food joints have grumpy and unhappy workers, this was no different. No smiles, pleasantries or other positive attributes could be found.

I specifically visited this McDonald’s because I saw they are doing Monopoly. I order items that were labeled as “monopoly items” and none of the things I ordered came with the monopoly stickers.

Food came out quick and was prepared accurately… just disappointed when I came for the promotion and bought items I would not have purchased had I known they didn’t have monopoly.

God’s given McDonald’s and possibly the best one in the continuous United States. You wouldn’t expect it given how it is connected to a gas station.

I’ve been here ten times the past few weeks and my order hasn’t been screwed up ONCE even with special requests. No onions? No onions. Light Sauce? You got it. No cheese on my McGriddle? Nothing to worry about. Espresso shot, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle? Its ALL there. Its genuinely unbelievable how they get it right each time.

Consumerism is an issue but the app is way too flawless not to use it. For some reason this location gives really decent deals. It makes ordering a breeze. I get there in a couple minutes from the College and the food is already on the counter. Their transition from breakfast to lunch also seems seamless

I normally don’t dine-in but the inside is really nice and clean quite possibly the cleanest fast food location I have ever been in. Ever.

It’s immaculate. McDonald’s as a corporation isn’t the greatest but this location is an absolute gem. My biggest thanks to everyone that works there I hope you all get a good raise in your near future.

Ordered a spicy “Mccrispy” in the app. (Sent my boyfriend to pick it up) he gets there and is told my order is not in the system (yes I double checked the location)
He came home with a spicy mcchicken. Considering I McDonald’s was my first job I only expect basic service nothing crazy. Disappointed in the decrease in service and the increase in price.

This is one of the worst mcdonalds. The city of mount vernon deserve better. None of the people in the back speak or read english so it causes all these delays with getting the orders and food prepared. The lines both inside and out are always so long and backed up. Noone apologizes for the delays or the wait. Noone knows customer service like greeting and thanking people and actually giving them their orders in a timely fashion. I wont go here again. Not to mention the trash in front of the business. Which multiple employees in uniform walked past. There is no pride shown for the brand in any of the people working here. They only care about the doordash orders and leave dine in and take out people waiting forever for their food. They leave the doordash bags just sitting up at the front unattended. Anyone could just come up and snatch them. Its such a chaotic place here everytime i come. And you would that the rush would mean the food is hot but it isnt because they leave the food laying around for so long and not getting it to you when it is hot
