I must unequivocally state that at no point during this distressing encounter did I engage in any threatening language or behavior, use profanity, or act physically aggressive. My demeanor remained calm and respectful, even as the situation became increasingly hostile due to the managers actions. It is beyond comprehension that a customer, merely seeking to receive their order, would be subjected to such an outrageous threat involving law enforcement. This incident not only caused me significant distress but also resulted in considerable disruption for other patrons, who were left waiting in line for what appeared to be up to an hour due to this unnecessary standoff.
This follows a prior incident on October 15th at the same location, where I also experienced mistreatment and felt discriminated against. The pattern of behavior from the managers , particularly concerning the redemption of my free meal, leads me to suspect that there was a targeted effort to deny me service, almost as if there was a personal vendetta against me.
The unprofessionalism displayed by at least three managers during these incidents is particularly alarming. Their inability or unwillingness to de-escalate the situation, coupled with the decision to threaten a customer with police action over a service dispute, reflects a severe deficiency in management training and customer service standards.
First of all things happen sometimes there is missing food.
We are all human and these things happen. Were we annoyed? Yes because that means one of has to go back and get the missing food so everyone eats. We did not order food for a family of 5 plus desserts just to go back and try and get free 10 piece nuggets. That is a waste of time. My young daughter went back to let them know we were missing the nuggets. This manager, CAROL, spoke to my daughter so rude and was denying her the nuggets saying “she knows for a fact the nuggets were in there because she packed them herself” then proceeded to tell her the wrong order. When my daughter corrected the order, Carol demanded the receipt.
Tell me, what is that going to do? If we wanted a free 10 piece what is the receipt going to do?
My daughter calls my husband from McDonalds and when he got on the phone telling my daughter to get her name, Carol then said she will give them to her this time but that she knows she packed them.
So my daughter gets home tells me this absurd situation over 10 Chicken Nuggets!
I called the McDonald’s immediately, I ask the person who answered the phone if I could please have the managers name this person asked what the reason is. I said I would just like to know the managers name. She again said there needs to be a reason to get the name. So I already know at this point that this is the person that was so rude to my daughter, and I say this to her and said so can I have your name, she said let me explain- I cut her off and said I do not need an explanation my daughter already explained and now I just need your name!
She said – like a little kid- you don’t need to know my name ok thank you BYE !! and proceeds to Hang Up On Me!
(How old are you???- ridiculous)
I drove to the McDonald’s myself and asked the person in the drive thru what the managers name was and this how I know it was the same manager that l previous had an issue with! When they had to close early due to staff shortage and stated this to me At my car, after I had been waiting for curbside pick up for Maybe about 5 minutes.
She was OUTSIDE putting cones in The drive-thru to close it. She couldn’t bring the food and then closed the drive thru? (work smarter not harder) I asked if she could just bring it since I had already been there. She said No and if I wanted I could cancel. I said what, no?? That wasn’t the issue. Then I asked if I could just go up to the window since I had been waiting she said no that if I did that I would not get my food. So I had to wait In the long line to get my food I had already confirmed I was there for curbside – I then totally understood why everyone called out because no body would want to work for such a disgusting person who wants to continually argue with customers. I can only imagine how she treats the employees.
This is my regular McDonald’s- I have lived near by for 10 years! And this is only the 2nd time I have had an issue and lo and behold it’s the same manager.
Some people should Never work in customer service. If you don’t like your job find a new one don’t project your misery onto others.
Satisfied with my quick meal of less than $5.
Went back up there nice with no attitude, and the manager or PIC was rude. She told me that we give out the patties that we have, which you’re not supposed to tell a customer that. Then they tell me they’re out of buns. I can’t make this up. Plus we waited 20 mins for this.
