First the worker taking orders at the front was very rude. Had red hair and wearing a regular show jacket. Was very short with us and before I even paid or she told me the total turned her back towards us and walked away. Didn’t give us a receipt and practically threw my drink cup at me. She got the order wrong as well though I only ordered two things. The place was a sticky mess, food was horrible/ undercooked and staff very unfriendly. As a service worker myself it’s not hard to be kind or even help finish the transaction before walking off and giving dirty looks. I would not recommend this location.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. Allow me to explain. To deal with such atrocities I usually relieve my stress by describing my experience with far too many off color and insulting jokes.
In this case I am left to describe the terrible work habits and the filth of the McDonalds in Layton Walmart.
My son and I had done some light shopping and decided to get a “quick” bite to eat. That would be 2 hamburgers and 2 spicy McChicken’s. No special orders.
We immediately noticed the overflowing trash cans and the disgusting floors throughout the restaurant. The spilled garbage around the soda machine, the unwiped surfaces all over the restaurant. The scattered receipts and the stale French fry at the ordering station. The state of the entire restaurant was completely unwelcoming and nasty,
Our regular order took 20 minutes to receive. We got home only to find loose French fries in the bottom of the bag. We didn’t order fries. These fries were smart. They were trying to escape.
To use the excuse of being ‘short staffed’ or short handed is inexcusable in this case, when there are 2 employees standing around doing nothing and the restaurant was not at all busy. It was as if I had to interrupt their leisure time to get my simple order. I was not greeted but hollered at from behind the unwiped plexiglas.
This restaurant has weaponized inefficiency, bad manners, and wouldn’t know a washcloth and mop if it slapped them in the face.
Sadly, this is not the only McDonald’s location where I had this similar experience.
McDonalds, what happened? How the mighty have fallen! The once most successful amazing fast food restaurant serving billions of satisfied happy customers has become a washed up has-been, a depressing distant memory of what once was. Not only does it show in your restaurant but also in the morale of your workers.
My first job was at McDonalds. And I don’t remember it ever being like this. We worked our tails off for minimum wage! Not $12.00 an hour!

This was my second remake ridiculous . When it comes to my health it’s a different story now your putting me at risk. My first order I waited in line for 15 minutes for it to come out cold . I patiently waited in the drive through again and this is what they gave me . I instantly gagged and spit it out the blood and the texture made me sick to my stomach . Please do not eat at this location unless you want to be extremely sick and get food poisoning not ok

I ordered 3 hamburgers and a large tea with only mayonnaise and they gave them to me cold and with exaggerated mayonnaise that overflowed, it was very disgusting. Due to the excess of mayonnaise my son asked for a small glass to drink water and caused him soda and the manager on duty May 1, 2024 at 16:19 pm was very rude and told me that she was a thief for drinking soda instead of water. He told my 10-year-old son that he could even call the police about that. I asked him his name and he didn’t want to give it to me, he said it wasn’t my problem. And when I retired, he said that if he didn’t plan to pay for the glass of water my son asked for. Despite working at McDonalds, I would never return to this McDonalds. And he even told me that if the photo went, he was going to sue me, when she is the one who is assaulting me and my 10-year-old son in a verbal and rude way.

Honestly, a little over a year ago this review would be higher. But recently, my experience her ehas been not good at best, especially the few times in the morning. The morning staff is uncaring and flippant. They don’t listen, and they will just not get you the right order. The quality here has fallen drastically over the year I’ve regularly visited this location.

Food was either cold or it was made very poorly. I ordered an iced mocha latte, which by the way was right on their menu. The woman taking my order said okay and I paid. When the woman called my number, I walked up and she begins to hand me a mocha frappe. I politely told her that I did not order that, and that I had ordered the iced mocha coffee. She then said that they don’t sell that there at all, so I showed her where it was on the menu board, and she just looked at me blankly. I told her I’d take the drink, but that they really should take the iced mocha latte off of the menu if they don’t even sell it. And she agreed with me and I left lol. Honestly, the few times I’ve gone there for something quick while running errands or if the kiddos are hungry while we’re out, it’s always usually mediocre. The service is terrible, the workers barely know what they’re doing and the food could be prepared a little better and actually be warm and fresh.
