Their breakfast keeps me alive.

Regarding the photo – this is not a full trashcan. It certainly looks like it is but it is not. This an example of a need to spend some time on the physics of the extension “snout” that McDonald’s drive-thru trash cans are fitted with. It is a great idea due to the convenience it provides in allowing a drive-thru customer to dispose of their trash with less of a chance that trash will end up on the ground. However, the snout does not have enough slope for gravity to successfully pull everything into the can. It only takes one small item to stick inside the snout and things start backing up.
McDonald’s is known for their creative abilities with processes and systems. That’s how they got their start. It is certain that they could figure out a way for these trashcan snouts to better perform.

I’d like to commend the unwavering dedication of the team at McDonald’s for their bold stance on condiments. In a world full of uncertainty, it’s comforting to know that no matter how clearly I request “plain, no pickles, no onions, no ketchup,” this location will bravely ignore that request every single time.

Drive-through? Pickles.
Ordered inside? Pickles.
Politely asked twice? Pickles, onions, and what appears to be a ketchup flood warning.

At this point I’m fairly certain the ordering system automatically translates my request into:
“Customer would like extra pickles, surprise onions, and a generous emotional support amount of ketchup.”

We’ve tried everything:
• Ordering through the drive-through
• Ordering inside like civilized humans
• Saying “plain”
• Saying “PLAIN please, no condiments at all”
• Even the advanced technique of “this is for a kid who will absolutely lose their mind if there’s a pickle.”

Yet the burger still arrives looking like it just won a condiment triathlon.

My working theory is that somewhere in the kitchen there’s a condiment vigilante whispering:
“Not today. No burger leaves this building unpickled.”

Anyway, see you again soon because the fries are great and apparently I’ve accepted my new role in life as Chief Pickle Removal Officer.

This is a normal McDonald’s, but five stars because it is the first one in the area to get the McRib back this year

So happy in this economy I get to spend almost $10 for a McFlurry I get to mix myself and half eaten fries that I haven’t even touched.

Every time I go to McDonald’s on Parmer I end up crying violently in the parking lot, deeply disheartened by the lack of the exquisite, my beloved, McFlurry. Every time, the empty, soulless suits of McDonalds Corporate see fit to leave the world aching with the pain felt in absence of their greatest creation, all because those penny pinchers don’t have a care in the world to fix their ice cream machine. Never do I cry regarding any matter, the exception being when I come to McDonalds, any McDonalds, hoping against hope, deluding myself like Charles Lecrelc at Ferrari, thinking this time will be different, that they’ll finally fix their ice cream machine, that I may be reunited with my beloved McFlurry at last. But alas, every time, such as with Leclercs DQs all to Ferraris fault, I am left alone in the parking lot, missing the presence of my Chocolate McFlurry, for what else could I possible think to share with my slightly less beloved dog Laney, besides that?

Update: Laney is at the vet
Update: Laney has passed due to chocolate poisoning? Never heard of that! The McDonalds workers must have poisoned my McFlurry out of spite when I had finally driven to my 53rd location and managed to find a working ice cream machine!
Update: Charles Leclerc got DQd, Lance Stroll took pole.
Update: My friend is suspicious about my dog, I think he’s into me.

Summary: LowK I only go back for the Chocolate McFlurry. The vibe is really chill too, except when the workers are poisoning your McFlurries. Always get dine in.

Rude and unprofessional behavior from a manager at the drive-thru

Dear McDonald’s Management,

I would like to file a formal complaint regarding an unpleasant experience I had with one of your managers at the drive-thru of your restaurant.

One day, I went through the drive-thru with some friends to place an order. Everything was normal until I asked for my receipt, because I wanted to complete the McDonald’s survey that allows customers to receive a free item (like a small fries or an ice cream). This is something that every customer is entitled to receive.

A friend of mine works at that location and was handing me the receipt when the manager began staring at us with an unfriendly expression, as if we were doing something wrong — even though I was still waiting for my food. To avoid causing any problems for my friend, I told him I would drive around again to provide the McDonald’s app code and the survey code for the free item.

However, when I returned to the window, the same manager started arguing with us, accusing us of “cutting in line” and speaking in a very rude and disrespectful tone. We were simply waiting for our food, just like any other customer.

Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. Every time I go to that McDonald’s — whether as a regular customer or to pick up a DoorDash order — this same manager looks at me with attitude, speaks to me rudely, and treats me poorly for no reason.

Once, when I had just started working with DoorDash and didn’t know the app very well, I politely asked him for help finding the pickup code. Instead of helping, he shouted at me, “I NEED THE CODE! THE CODE!” even after I explained that I wasn’t sure where to find it. He wouldn’t listen and made me feel embarrassed in front of other employees and customers.

I completely understand that working in fast food can be stressful, but there is never an excuse for disrespecting customers. His behavior is extremely unprofessional and reflects very poorly on the McDonald’s brand.

Additionally, since he is in a manager position, he should be able to communicate effectively in English and demonstrate the level of professionalism, respect, and customer service that McDonald’s is known for.

I am not entirely sure of his name, but I believe he is a male. He usually wears tight clothing and keeps his hair tied back during his shift.

I kindly ask that you review this situation and take appropriate action to ensure that customers — and delivery drivers — are treated with the respect they deserve. This kind of attitude not only makes customers uncomfortable, but also damages the restaurant’s reputation.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope this issue can be resolved appropriately to prevent future incidents.

We had a terrible experience at this McDonald’s today. We were with two kids and ordered Happy Meals. We just asked if we could swap one of the toys for another one that was available — a simple and polite request.

The manager reacted very aggressively, saying she couldn’t do it, even though another employee was ready to help. She shouted three times that she wouldn’t make the exchange, offering no explanation at all.

Because of her rude attitude, we canceled our entire order and left with the kids. To make it worse, she even processed the refund wrong, and we had to come back to fix it.

The whole experience was awful and disrespectful. We used to come here often, but after this, we’ll never return.

Horrible service, no empathy, no professionalism.

on nov 18th I mobile ordered a simple mcchicken from the McDonald’s mobile app and it gives me code GW14. I drive to the McDonald’s and get to the order box in the drive thru . They ask if I’m using the app and I say yes and give the code GW14. They say they don’t have it multiple times and tells me to drive to the window (the app shows “you’re located at 10525 W parmer lane “ give code GW14. I also got a receipt notification on my iPhone stating thank you for your order . The person wearing a white manager dress shirt and black pants at 1:12pm cst. Gets an attitude and says you’re trying to pick up someone’s order…I say I’m not DoorDash and I’m picking up MY order , I show her the APP that has the confirmation in it multiple times along with the receipt on the app that has their address the code and timestamp . She gets flustered and grabs another manager in a gray shirt without the McDonald’s logo and she says that I need to press confirm with an attitude. I reply I don’t need to because the app auto detected that I was at the correct location and says to give them code GW14. I show the same stuff again and tell her I’d like to pick up my order .I again show the receipt for what I ordered , she proceeded to tell me I’m trying to pick up someone’s order , that they don’t have my order , and I’m at the wrong location (which lie are yall using because this is ridiculous). EVERYTHING shows the address 10525 W parmer lane address along with code GW14. They REFUSED to give me my food and wasted my time even after politely showing them my receipts with their address , the code , the McDonald’s app , and the email receipt from McDonald’s ! I have never been treated like a criminal over a mobile order that I placed until today . They are RUDE, RACIST, and pure EVIL at this location . I don’t appreciate them wasting my time and energy . The two managers should not be customer facing if they’re going to be rude , discriminatory, or deny people food that they paid for . Yes I’m pissed because this was a major inconvenience and the fact that they didn’t even try to help rectify it made it worse . I left without the food I ordered, my time WASTED and the money spent . It’s not about the money spent it’s the principal. I truly hope someone above them contacts me because this is ridiculous to have to go through and embarrassing .

Terrible customer service. Multiple times I have tried to order regular menu items during the evening…. a few hours before closing time. The app tells me that I can’t order the items now due to it being the wrong time of day… although I am within the hours posted within the app. When I went to the store and asked about it she said yeah… it does that sometimes. I asked if she could just honor the coupon from the app instead and she refused. No interest in having my order at all. I left and drove to another location further away where the app worked fine. This location turns off the online ordering earlier than the others so they can clean and go home early I believe. I realize that these are franchises, but have some standards for your brand. Also, this is the fish “sandwich” I got for $10…. more of a biscuit really. Do better McDonalds.

Every time I order a meal that comes with fries, by the time I drive 1.8 miles to my house they’re cold. One time I turned around and complained. Went home with fresh fries. Today after working 12hrs I pick up 2 meals and not only were the fries cold the sandwich and nuggets were cold. I’m more annoyed because McDonalds use to be known for fresh hot fries. Guess those days are long gone. Unless this is fixed I’ll take my business elsewhere
