It’s hard to fathom that a company like McDonalds which has made its success through years of consistency, fast service and pretty decent food would allow one of their locations to perform to such substandards as we see here in Canyon Lake. They are consistently, agonizingly slow and often get orders wrong. The people are ok, nice enough – it’s obvious that management here is simply very, very poor.

Overall their food was good, however after my meal I ordered an ice cream. This locations ice cream does not look, taste, or feel the same as others. The taste and texture of it are completely off, more like a frozen yogurt type than a regular soft serve. It did not even look the same as usual in the cone itself.

I had to wait for someone to come to the counter. I waited about 20 minutes before someone acknowledged that I was there. I ordered in the app, as I thought it would be quicker. It wasn’t any quicker. I’m deeply disappointed in this McDonalds.

Literally the slowest place I’ve ever been to. You have to wait 20+minutes on a regular basis. The line will be backed up and No employees in the front. People waiting in the drive through all backed up. I watch them get frustrated and come in the store to try to get their food. Employees coming from the back pushing through the crowd at the register to go to the bathroom. It almost comical if you aren’t the one waiting….

You know I understand fast food is not the highest quality but when you pay almost $20 and you get food that has been literally sitting in a warmer probably for the last six or eight hours overcooked stale. I keep thinking I’ll give McDonald’s another try and every time I regret it. So disappointing I wish we could get a real fast food restaurant in this town.
