This McDonald’s on I-35 in Sonterra has become my regular pit stop during my frequent drives between my Austin and Cedar Hill offices. I truly enjoy dropping by here; it’s a convenient break in the drive. On this specific visit, there was a bit of a delay—my food was left on the counter for a while with no notice that it was ready. However, that hasn’t spoiled my view of the place. The food is always great, and the service is generally good. A very nice young lady took my order and was quite polite. It remains a dependable spot for me. See them next month!

Why give options via kiosk ordering if the requested modifications are not going to be honored?
I ordered a daily double with no lettuce… and I modified from no pickles through light pickles, then regular pickles before finally selecting the extra pickles option. As you can see from the picture, I recieved no tomatoes (was supposed to come with 2 slices automatically) and most definitely did NOT recieve extra pickles.
I think it’s time to give up on McDonald’s for good. I was the only person in the lobby, they weren’t at all busy, and they don’t know which toppings are supposed to be included.

My wife was crazing for McFlurry with Oreo and I tried it for the first time! Twas very yummy but I got stomachache right after due to my lactose intolerance condition! 😛

Absolutely terrible experience with this McDonald’s. I placed an order through Uber Eats at 6:03 PM, and after three different drivers tried to pick it up, not one of them could get the food because the restaurant couldn’t manage to prepare or release the order. After waiting over an hour, the order was finally canceled.
I decided to drive to the location myself, thinking it would be faster. Big mistake. I ended up sitting in the drive-thru for nearly 25 minutes just to get my food. How does it take that long to make and hand over a simple order?
This place is a complete mess. It’s clear they either need to retrain their employees or hire competent staff who can actually get the job done. I will never return to this location again — not for delivery, not in person, not ever.
If you value your time, patience, or money, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

The biggest disadvantage of being old enough to remember 5 decades back is that I know when McDonald’s is not cooking up their fries as well. Still ‘good’ but no longer ‘epic’.

The food was fine, but as a previous Macdonalds employee, it was sad. We waited a considerably longer than usual time for a happy meal and two sandwiches. The happy meal was missing the drink and, come to find out later, didn’t even have the ONE sauce we asked for. Otherwise, it was fine.

I don’t often have fast food although I had a filet-o-fish sandwich here which was hot and delicious and even looked good – just like the photo. The customer service was absolutely above average.

(9:30) 9/12/25) I ordered 13-cookies and wanted them fresh the first time and they was not fresh at all, I can tell because I work at McDonald’s myself, at another location, so I came back to get it done right and all I heard was complaining, so when I finally got the “new batch” they were hard and matted together !! I can tell all they did was put the old cookies in the microwave to reheat them. I couldn’t even eat them and I was not finna waste my money so I went back AGAIN and got my refund. THEY NEED TO DO BETTER ! The coworkers didn’t seem to care and the manager on shift didn’t seem to care either. AT ALL !
