Why I gotta review McDonald’s all the time. When will I learn it’s a terrible establishment.
While waiting for our meal, I walked around while waiting to loose up a little, because I was bored. Other folks came in and ordered also. So there were more people at this point. I noticed how messy things were with it being a while before the actual lunch hour and when no one is in the restaurant. So I took some pictures of the place, good and not so good. To be fair to this McDonald’s, nothing looked filthy and you probably won’t see as much in photo’s anyway.
When our food came out, it was in a to go bag, and we had no drink. But we ordered to stay and eat. The women who shouted out my number and then, “do you have a drink”, almost scared me. She sounded angry at me for some reason. Then as we were seated and eating, we listened, and she seemed to use that very harsh tone with almost everyone. She’s probably a very sweet lady, but comes off sounding very angry at folks picking up their food. she is loud enough to get folks attention, but maybe comes across a little too loud?
Anyway, when I got my cup, I noticed how the soda fountain area was very messy. There were no drink lids for the medium size drink, which I had. Well there was one, but looked like someone had tried it on their drink first. The counter and fountains were covered with different types of drinks. The whole area was just not clean. And this is before lunch. This is what you get when you want the customer to do the work themselves, rather than when an employee filled the drinks.
I wondered why this McDonalds would be this dirty, this early with nobody in the restaurant? So I looked around at things and found a lot of things didn’t look the cleanest. So now it made more sense.
Our food was hit and miss. We both ordered quarter pounders with cheese. They were very greasy. But they were also very good. That’s what the grease does. It gives things great flavor. The French fries on the other hand had no flavor what so ever. We had to go back to the counter and wait to ask for salt to mask the non existing flavor of the fries. So the burger was better than your average Mc Donalds burger lately. But the fries were garbage. Well the salt gave them some flavor, but not much.
So we finished our meal. So I went to the restroom to wash my hands. The automatic faucet would not turn on. Thankfully they had a manual faucet in the second sink. I wonder why they had the manual faucet. My guess is they probably had problems with an automatic faucet that was there before, as well.
All in all, this McDonald’s was not the cleanest place, to be nice. Why you have to wait ten minutes for your order, when there was probably no one else inside with you waiting for food, when you ordered? Why can they make a much better than average quarter pounder than most McDonald’s, but make such bad fries? Why can’t someone look at the conditions they want their customers to eat in, when there’s no one in the restaurant, before people are in the restaurant?
This could be a decent McDonald’s. That’s something I don’t say often. But only if some one actually cares about the customer’s in the restaurant. My guess is that they must prioritize the drive through or something. Otherwise the only excuse is that they just don’t care. I gave them three stars because the quarter pounder with cheese was way better than the average McDonald’s. Other than than, I would have not reason to go back in that McDonald’s again.
Stopped here while driving through Louisiana — big mistake.
My mini M&M’s McFlurry looked like someone just dumped candy on top and called it a day — no mix, no swirl, no effort.
The Diet Coke was flatter than the bayou at low tide, and the fries were limp and lifeless.
Customer service? Let’s just say it felt like Mumbles was running the drive-thru.
First time here and definitely the last. I’ll keep driving next time.
I didn’t have my cards with me so I put in my order and I again returned to the counter as i had to still pay to move my order ahead.
After that, I had to again wait but at least this time I could be seated as I waited. It was quite lengthy as it was only a chicken sandwich n fries. But I understood.
I’ve given McDonald’s their dues in compliments and props for their progression towards great appearance or presentation of their sandwiches. Overall, most of my previous visits have had near perfect fries each time. This visit was back to basic fries. The sandwich was not even average to be called food. Attached you will see a picture. 4 or 5 more lobby orders came in after me. It took a while to get the orders out. Following you will see the subsequent orders after mine.
1. Mine
2. 1 large fry (10 min after submitting order.)
3. 2 sandwiches (10 min after order given out. 15 to 20 min wait. )
4. Big Mac meal (2 or 3 min after order #3 given out. 20 to 23 min wait.
5. Kids meal and McChicken (5 min after his #4 order was given to him. 25 wait.)
Then 3 or 4 more customers came in afterwards. I felt sorry for them as well as the employees.
Step it up McDonald’s.
