The ice cream was too soft to be standing upright, I’ve worked at Dairy Queen and completely understand that! We asked about why it was in a cup, that’s her explanation, but immediately she was defensive saying that was the only way and the person on the headset should’ve told us. Look, I get that but immediately blaming someone else when I just wanted to know if I could get it without the cup was odd. It was this white women working second window, pink shirt, slight side part with greasy brown hair, wearing glasses as well. Her attitude was terrible. I understand having a bad day but literally insane, especially considering we weren’t rude at all? My boyfriend is the nice one of us two and I was holding my breath.
We get our food and leave, I go to eat my ice cream and the cone wasn’t filled with ice cream, just the cup? If it’s going to be put in a cup that’s fine, but at least fill the cone and then tip it into the cup? I’m paying for ice cream to be in my cone to make it soft. We all know the best part of the cone is the bottom with all the ice cream in it. I ask my boyfriend to turn around and just replace this. I know it seems like a lot but the only reason we went to McDonald’s was ice cream. We literally even stopped the night before but they had cleaned the machines for the night, which again I totally understand.
We turn around and the same lady was helping us. My boyfriend tried to explain nicely that we’d like the cone to be filled with ice cream. We understand it can’t have bumps on top, but simply having ice cream in the cone. She immediately had an attitude worse than before over it, like seriously my goodness. Going on about how if we wanted a sundae then it would be an upcharge, sundae was never mentioned? He tried to reexplain that the cone just didn’t have ice cream in it. She got upset and tried to go back and forth with my boyfriend, being rude about it when he seriously wasn’t rude whatsoever. I start explaining it to her firmly that we don’t care for a whole replacement, when you order a ice cream cone you expect ice cream to be in the cone? I don’t know why this concept was so difficult to understand and seriously don’t get the attitude problem. She slammed the window, turned around and filled a single cone up with ice cream and then handed it over and slammed the window again.
Like I seriously get having a bad day, but that cone was seriously the edge for you? Is it that serious? No reason whatsoever with the attitude. And like I said, me and my bf both have a history in fast food, we get having to wait and have stuff situated. But throwing a tantrum as a grown woman is insane. If you’re reading this please grow up.
