This is the McDonald’s that never exceeds your expectations! My fries are always half full, one pickle on the Big Mac, and the mcchicken looks like it landed on the floor before it makes it way into the bag. And if that’s not enough, it all manages to be cold. Was up in Olathe and grabbed McDonald’s on the way home a couple of weeks ago and ordered the exact same thing I order in Iola every time and was just wowed by Olathe’s quality of food, the fact it was hot, and impressed with the taste difference and the freshness! Maybe some better training?

They accommodated all of my special requests with a very nice attitude. ( no bun and even put it in a plastic tray with utensils making it easy to eat) and my iced coffee having half sweetness. Also the fires were so crispy and hot. Very positive experience while traveling through Kansas!!

Went here for my works outing, wasn’t really hungry as I just ate prior to coming here. I ordered 2 holiday pies & an Iced Caramel Macchiato. They told me it would be 20 mins, I received my pies & I asked about iced coffee & was told 20 mins. So I sat down ate my pies & periodically checked the front, nobody was even near the machine nor in the least acknowledging that part of my order. So my crew & I just ended up leaving, I didn’t care about being refunded my $3. I just wanted to leave because I was irritated that 20 mins was done & over with & nobody seemed to care that practically just robbed me of my $3.

The food is about average for McDonald’s standards but the crew looks rough. I just got out of prison and the people working the prison kitchen look more reputable. Just adding to the previous post. After going there multiple times because the food is cheap I have concluded that the employees are worse at their job than I originally thought.
There’s a couple of them that are ok but for the most part their professionalism is sub par. I used to work at the local Taco Bell and I would have been fired for the level of unprofessionalism displayed.

Well my 1st and last time ever going here. The food was all types of wrong. Love it when you order a 10 Chicken nuggets and you only get 8. The fries are so undercooked we can’t even eat them they taste so bad. The sweet n sour tasted expired! Ugh all I wanted my fries anyways and I didn’t even get to eat them they are in the trash. I will never ever come here again. We waited so long for our order to be taken in the drive through only to be greeted with “McDonalds, what can I get for you?” What happen to Hi welcome to McDonald’s, what can I get for you today?” It honestly not at all a hard job I worked at McDonald’s for 2 1/2 years and never once was it this bad. The lady at the 1st window was polite. The gentleman at the second window didn’t even speak to us until he handed us our bag and just said “ have a good day”.
If I could give this store a zero I would. I swear if I get sick from this food I will be calling the health department.

Very Disappointed – Order Lost and No Help
We placed a mobile order through the McDonald’s app and got a notification saying it was ready for pickup at the counter or drive-thru. When my partner went in with the provided code, the worker said we “clicked the wrong store.” We double-checked and confirmed it was for 312 W Madison, Iola. The employee then said the order “didn’t go through,” even though we could clearly see the payment pending on our card.
When we asked for help or a refund, we were told there was nothing they could do and that the money “should just go back” to our card. We asked what we should do if the funds don’t go back, and the worker told us to come back in — which isn’t exactly easy since we live 22 minutes away. It’s frustrating that we were charged but never received our order, and that there was no effort to actually resolve the issue. Poor communication and customer service overall.

Ordered online for drivethru pickup, got parked to wait on the SINGULAR apple pie I ordered. Waited over 10 minutes on one apple pie meanwhile 4-5 cars are getting served their food. My food has sat on the counter the entire time wiring for the pie, so now my food is cold and I’m still waiting for pie. I’m usually nice, and don’t mind waiting, but I genuinely think 20 minutes for one apple pie is ridiculous. Once my partner went in to ask how much longer, the worker Amy then proceeded to gossip with her coworkers loudly claiming my partner was complaining when all he asked was how much longer for the ONE apple pie… The staff needs to do better. I have filed a formal complaint because as I said, I usually don’t mind waiting, but after the interaction with my partner and Amy, it just doesn’t sit right to let someone working in customer service get away with acting this way towards customers after making them wait over 20 minutes for food. A little communication and consideration is needed at this store.
