I recently stopped by and ordered a Big Mac, large fries, and an Oreo McFlurry, and overall it was a solid experience. The Big Mac was warm and well-assembled with a good balance of sauce and toppings, though one patty felt slightly thinner than usual. The fries were fresh and nicely salted, but a few at the bottom were a little soft. The Oreo McFlurry was thick, creamy, and generously mixed with cookie pieces, which definitely saved the day. The location itself is spacious and modern, but it gets pretty busy and loud, especially during peak hours, so it is not the most relaxing spot to dine in. Service was fast and my order was accurate, although the interaction felt a bit rushed. Overall, I would give it a 4 out of 5. It is a dependable downtown stop for classic McDonald’s favorites, with just minor inconsistencies that keep it from being perfect.

This flagship McDonald’s really stands out in downtown Chicago! The interior is modern, bright, and spacious, with indoor trees, high ceilings, and huge windows offering great views of the skyline. Everything felt clean and well organized, and there were plenty of tables to choose from. Ordering on the kiosks was quick and easy.
It’s a safe spot to wait for a ride share, and the staff were friendly during my visit. The only drawbacks were a bit of crowd noise when it’s busy and occasional waits for food. Still, the atmosphere and convenience make it one of the best McDonald’s experiences around. Great place for a quick meal, tasty classics, and a cool urban vibe.
Would definitely visit again when in the area!

The McDonald’s Chicago Flagship was rebuilt in 2018 and these photos were taken in October 2025 that show the newest renovations. I really enjoyed going to this McDonald’s in Chicago. The dining area has very high ceilings with decorative LED lighting that create a spacious and welcoming atmosphere. There are many booths with very comfortable seating and nice tables. This evening, I was writing postcards to my family with postcards from the local pharmacy across the street. It is a very well lit space that was great to write the postcards. I ordered a McCrispy chicken sandwich with bacon and lettuce. As with most McDonald’s locations, the food was good and the crispy chicken was actually crispy. I do enjoy the many trees and other plants in the McDonald’s. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would be going here a lot as a place to hang out that is relatively quiet and very spacious and welcoming where I can get a Diet Coke and just hang out for awhile. 10 out of 10!

One significant advantage is the on-site parking, which is a rarity in this area. The drive-thru stays busy, and the mobile app works great here for ordering ahead and earning or redeeming points.
The only downside is the pricing. It’s noticeably higher than other McDonald’s locations nearby, but considering the size and value of the property, it’s understandable.
Overall, I recommend this location. Just expect to pay a little more than usual.

I went in on valentines for a quick meal before going home and one of my “burgers” wasnt even a burger it was two pieces of bread a slice of cheese and a some condiments. Just because a business is busy doesnt mean I should expect my quality of food to be worse off. Horrible way to end my night thanks McDonald’s.

Went there for ice cream, we were a group of 10 people. Ordered through display, everything went smooth and pretty fast. The only thing was their parking lot entrance being closed, so we had to drive around to get into it from the exit. The building itself it very big and spacious, and lots of seating available.

The food is exactly what you expect from McDonald’s – it’s fast, relatively affordable and offers a tasty dose of nostalgia. But what I really liked about this McDonald’s is the unique architecture. This flagship location has a large and airy dining room with visible greenery and solar panels designed like a pergola over the building. It’s quite striking inside and a nice spot to have a quick and indulgent meal.
