Original review down below. I’ve ordered from this location more than a few times since my original review. To be honest, they’ve done a great job providing me what I paid for. Today I asked for two egg sausage McMuffins. I asked for them with no cheese. But today I got them with no cheese, or egg? But honestly forgetting the egg is alright in my book as long as I didn’t get cheese. I would recommend checking your bag before you leave this location.
Beautiful store. If by beautiful you mean very modern looking inside. There was a lot of people going through the drive through and atleast 5 people inside. I ordered a big breakfast with hotcakes and steak. Every McDonald’s I’ve gone too in lake county has screwed up my order in some way, and the big breakfast with hot cakes and steak is the chief thing they mess up. The McDonald’s in Gurnee, wadsworth, Zion, and Waukegan have all failed atleast once to give me the steak. Three of these stores gave me cold sausage as a replacement for steak (an insulting thing to have happen when I was once religiously Jewish). The steak meal costs more than the sausage one, why not give me two cold sausages instead of one? Why was the whole meal cold? I live 5 minutes away from this location and the pancakes and eggs and sausage were so cold I needed to heat it up again. The two bacon strips I ordered were just one split in half. Chicken biscuit and hash browns were the only warm items by the time I got back home. The lemonade was top tier though but the staff had nothing todo with making that since it’s probably premade. Yet another subpar fast food restaurant with bad quality control. I’m glad to tell people not to waste their time at this location, like they shouldn’t waste their time at other locations.

When this McDonald’s was built near me, we were very excited that we would have nice, fresh, hot food. I have been going here since they opened. My experiences have been cold food, missed items, or issues with mobile delivery. When I do reviews on Google, I tend to write positive ones so I can provide good information to the community. Today, I am writing this review as a PSA. I made two orders today. The first was at lunchtime (order 1973). We received our four Grinch meals, but they completely forgot to give us a Quarter Pounder meal. All the fries were cold, and it was a pain. We decided to get McDonald’s again for dinner so we could get more of the socks from the Grinch meals. We did a curbside pickup (order 1993) and bought four more Grinch meals. When we got home, we opened the boxes and, to our surprise, we were given cold fries and no socks in any of the meals. I was unhappy and was going to call them to let them know about the issue. Searching through Google, I found out that they don’t provide a phone number for this location. I went back to McDonald’s to let them know that all four of my orders didn’t have socks in them. When I spoke to the person at the desk, I gave them my order number and told them that I was missing all four of my socks. The gentleman immediately stated that they were put into the meals. After I stated that they were not there, he then went to ask another worker if they had put them in the boxes. He rolled his eyes and said he had. When he came back, he told me that they were in the box. At this point, my frustration was growing, and I told him they were definitely not there. At this time, he told me that he was going to have to check the cameras to see if they were put in. I told him that was okay (this has not been the first time they have said this to me with an issue I have had. When they have checked, I have always been correct). I gave him my name and phone number, and I’m waiting to get an answer back from them to see if my claim was valid. I am a very patient person but I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to be met with dismissal, hostility, and no acknowledgement of my order possibility being messed up.
Use caution when going to this location and make sure that you do quality control on your own orders because this location doesn’t.

I was so excited to get a McDonald’s at the other end of Zion. But at times this is the worst McDonald’s. I’ve said and drive through sometimes over 10 minutes waiting to get a drink. I want to hear the employees back there cussing. I wish the service will become better, so I don’t have to take my business elsewhere.

The customer service here is terrible. When you ask for a manager, their attitude is no different than the other employees so it makes sense. You can always tell what kind of leadership a company has by the attitudes of it’s employees. When you complain about one member, everyone takes it personal so nothing is resolved. Trash management = trash employees

I pulled up at 3am on Saturday and they told me they were preparing for breakfast and had no food. How are you open 24 hours but have no food. I asked for a shake and she said they don’t serve them in the morning which is a lie.

worst customer service. I came to the window and two employees were laughing and walked away laughing to hide from me. I had to honk my horn on my way to my job to get my order that was sitting there made. She walked back to the window, got the order and decided to hand it to me. So it was ready and they were really just being rude. Every single time we come here.

The food is usually fresh, the employees are nice and pretty fast, and if you have any issues they’re relatively accomidating (within reason, of course). Anytime I’ve had an issue with my food they’ve replaced it quickly and kindly. Working fast food really sucks sometimes, but it’s evident they’re working hard, listening, and preforming to the best of their abilities in this high pace work environment. Thank you, McD employees!
