On Wednesday evening, my husband and I were aggressively asked to leave the dining room at the McDonald’s near the Fort Sheridan Metra Station, despite the posted hours.
We placed our initial order around 10:00 PM and ordered dessert around 10:25 PM. At approximately 10:30 PM, an employee informed us the dining room was closed and we needed to leave. When I stated the sign clearly showed an 11:00 PM closing time, the employee aggressively insisted the sign read 10:30 PM.
We complied and left, but I immediately took a photograph of the official sign, which confirms the dining room closes at 11:00 PM.
The core issue is the employee’s decision to lie about the operating hours and aggressively challenge the customer, rather than simply offering an honest explanation (e.g., “We’re quiet and hoping to close the dining room early tonight”). We were made to feel misled and unintelligent, which is unacceptable customer service.

Super friendly staff during early morning breakfast hours. Sometimes there is a short wait but it’s worth it. Sometimes traffic can back up onto the road but quickly gets moving. Sometimes This is due to couriers or customers just not parking correctly or being in the property lane. I highly recommend this location.

my oreo mcflurry was just ice cream with oreo crumbs sprinkled on top. it was not the usual, which is mixed in with the soft serve. additionally, the fries were not salted as much as they usually are. was disappointed.

This is the best mcdonalds I have EVER SEEN. They go all out here. I spoke to a manager named Chris and he was super friendly! I had to tell him how impressive the store looked and I asked to write a review with his name because that’s how AMAZING this place is. Shout out to all the people who decorated this place! Their work was soo worth it.

i wish i could leave 0 stars. this mcdonald’s sucks. they close 20 minutes before they are supposed to and the staff is rude and doesn’t help you out. i had place an order online and it went through, i go to pick it up 10 minutes before they close and they gave the people in front of us their food but when we came up to window a lady is mopping ignored us and then gives us an ♀️ motion when i tried to say we ordered online she ignored us again. this staff is so rude and poor and this mcdonald’s needs some actual management help. i have never had a great experience here EVER!

My husband, who has been an active-duty military member for 18 years, visited your location at 894 Fort Sheridan on Veterans Day to ask about your free meal offer for veterans. The employee told him that “veterans are only those 65 years old and above,” which is completely incorrect — veterans come from all ages and service backgrounds.
We don’t mind paying, but this misunderstanding was disappointing and disrespectful to those who serve. We hope management can clarify this policy and better train staff on what it means to be a veteran. Unfortunately, we’ll be sharing this experience with our military community so others are aware.

I visited this McDonald’s one evening and tried to use a deal from their app. The staff member insisted that I had to order a full meal to get the deal, which wasn’t true. I even showed them the app, but they refused to look or help, and didn’t try to involve a manager. This is unacceptable, as they clearly do not respect McDonald’s official terms or deals from the official app. The employees here seem poorly trained, so I wouldn’t recommend this location.

On 3/7/2023 at 5:55pm, I visited the McDonald’s located in Highwood, IL and purchased a large sweet iced tea with two lemons, when the ice melted I noticed inside at the bottom of the cup two white tablets. Not sure what the tablets were but when I called McDonald’s to inquire about it, no one could address my concern and I was told to call back the next day around 4p to speak with a manager. At this time, I am very concerned because I have never seen anything like this in any of my drinks from McDonald’s. (see attached pics)
