There was no one at the first window to take payment so I pulled forward.. but the young man acted as if he had an attitude when he returned to the window.. also I was told to wait at Window 2 for my food but my food was still very cold and the wrap wasn’t fully wrapped just thrown together. Do better with your attitude and will prepare people food

After a long day of just wanting McDonalds to cap off a bad night, I came to this McDonalds. I was served by this nice girl who is always friendly and in good spirits, and I am only rating Service and Atmosphere so high because of her. I stood there and watched as one of the workers with a pale and broom came over to empty out the pale into a waste bin- but he did so OVER THE FRIES. I watched as he swung the pale over the fry warmer before emptying it. I then saw staff go over to put fries into a fry box that was directly where the pale had been with all the debris that landed. I called out and waved for attention, to warn the staff, but they were talking amongst themselves and I watched as they put the fries into the dirty, contaminated fry box. As the manager approached with my bag, I stated I did ‘not want that,’ and asked for a remake. He asked ‘what was wrong with it’ with a rather incredulous tone and I explained, and rather than apologizing and remaking it, he just gave me a refund, even after I stated I would prefer a remake that was not dirty. This was absolutely ridiculous service. Thanks for the refund; I will appropriately keep my money rather than bring it to the McDonalds literally up the road from me from now on, I guess. This place is one stop light from me; I will still go to places a mile away, now, if I want fast food.

I’ve never had bad experience from this locations. The store was clean, and the employees were visibly cleaning the dining room. They seemed professional and hard working. This location is connected to a Kum & Go and just off the interstate exit, so this is a good location. It’s smart they’re connected to a gas station.

Restaurant was disgusting. Food, drinks, and trash was everywhere. Both trashes were overflowing and service was terrible. They definitely were prioritizing drive thru over restaurant customers. Never eating inside this McDonald’s again. A worker with long hair must’ve liked the fries a lot because he liked to steal a couple out of drive thru meals too. Disgusting.

I usually stop here Sunday mornings before work because I work too early to make breakfast. This is the filthiest fast food establishment I’ve ever seen. 7 am every table is dirty from the night before. The well by the pop is always disgusting full of ketchup and fermented pop from the night before. They was an ant infestation under the table I sat at in the middle of winter! Do you know how disgustingly filthy a place has to be to support ants in the middle of winter? Meanwhile everyone in the back laughing and having a great time. Manager completely indifferent. Don’t risk your health here.

Ordered using my app to go through the drive through. Said our number through the speaker. Couldn’t understand the guy speaking to us. Got to the 1st window, she asked if we were Justin…no. We said the number, no receipt, she just said to go to the next window. At the next window the guy handed us a bag with 1 sandwich & hash brown. Not our order. After trying to tell the guy what our order was again, the manager came over & said, “can I help you?” I didn’t know they were getting a mgr & she had no idea what was wrong. I pulled up my order to show her. She seemed capable & made us feel like we would get our food. But we had to pull ahead. They brought our order out. Missing the hashbrown. Went back in to show that we had a meal in our order & there was no hashbrown. Of course I couldn’t get the mgr’s attention, & I saw the person at the fry station start walking toward me…..she walked by of course. The manager then put a hb in a bag & gave it to me. No apology ever. Hey we were just trying to get some food before a road trip, McDonald’s got it wrong, not us. My iced coffee had a sticker with the exact recipe I ordered, my husband’s pop had no visible ice & was flat, probably due to the ice melting. The sandwiches were exactly what we expected & we enjoyed them. The crappy service, not so much.

Please note that this review pertains to this specific McDonald’s location only. Upon arrival, we were directed to order exclusively through the kiosks. Unfortunately, the process was confusing—not just for us, but for several other guests as well. I observed a couple nearby who were also struggling to place their order.
After we submitted our order, it was prepared incorrectly multiple times, affecting more than one item. What was intended to be a quick stop during our travels ended up taking much longer than necessary.

the worst experience ever from a Mcdonald’s the person who took my order was very rude and cut me off when trying to order. The person that was giving me the food she was not dressed appropriately. Completely dissatisfied!!!!

I got cold McNuggets here! They take forever and I actually got McNuggets that the outside looked cooked but the meat was still cold. Told the manager about it and he claimed it was not possible. They are doing things the Iowa way messing something good up.

It’s Mc Donald’s right. I kind of sore off of them a couple years ago. And then about 2 months ago I had this urge to want a Big Mac. I told my wife I wish McDonald’s was still good like they were when we were kids! We were close to this location and she said she thought this was the best McDonald’s in the Des Moines area and the best we have had for years! So we tried them. And then had 3 more drive thru visits in two months. All I can say is this is the best McDonalds I have been to in decades. The filet o fish which I usually order with a quarter pounder was perfect every time. No tartar sauce all over your hands and your melted cheese in the corner of the box! Big Macs are great as well! Considering the various time we visited I doubt it was the same crew every time…something is being done right here and my wife and I very much appreciate it!! Oh and the fries, these are definitely the fries McDonald’s used to make. Hot and crispy!!
