Filthy, floors are so greasy from mopping with greasy dirty water. The meals are correct 1 out of ten times. The ice cream machine is rarely operational. When we went we ordered a happy meal “hot” with a Diet Coke. They said they were out of Diet Coke. Also they said “if you want your meal hot it will have to be in as a special order and take longer.” SERIOUSLY? When asked about the Diet Coke they said they hadn’t had time to change it over. Smh. 28 minutes in line with only two people ahead of us and not one car in the lot.

I’m really unhappy with my recent visit to your McDonald’s. My family and I had several problems that made the experience much worse than we expected.
First, our order was messed up. We didn’t get everything right away, and they didn’t give us the ice cream or Happy Meal until we were already driving away. Also, the food was really bad. The fries were cold and had almost no salt. The crispy chicken sandwich was burnt so badly I couldn’t eat it. Plus, there was way too much ketchup on the sandwich, so that’s all I could taste. We ordered a medium Coke and received a Small Mr. Pib.
The restaurant itself wasn’t clean either. The windows were dirty, and the trash cans were overflowing. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a McDonald’s. I hope you’ll look into this and fix these problems so it doesn’t happen again. I’m waiting to hear back about how you’ll handle this.

If you’re looking for food off I-35, don’t rely on this McDonald’s. You’re better off going to the Casey’s or Kwik Star if you have to get off at Story City. Waited 40 minutes in the drive thru at 7:00 at night. It’s a miracle the fries weren’t inedible.

This McDonald’s has really gone downhill in terms of speed of service. I regularly wait 20+ minutes in the drive-thru — sometimes even longer — even when there are only a few cars ahead. I often see drivers giving up and reversing out of the line because they get tired of waiting for someone to even take their order.
If you’re looking for fast food, this location isn’t it. If there were other options in town, I’d go there instead. I actually wrote this review while sitting at the speaker, waiting for my order to be taken.

Good McDonald’s here off I-35 here in the wonderful town of Story City. The restaurant was mostly clean. The service was quick and efficient. The staff were nice and friendly. I got 2 McGriddles (The sausage, egg, & cheese) & a small Coca-Cola. Both McGriddles were really good. The total (first was 7.68) and (second was 6.20) after tax. I travel I 35 frequently. Used to stop here occasionally. Never again. The last 2 times the drive through has been slower than molasses. I waited for 20 minutes until my patience ran out and I left.

Driving through and went in for food. Poor cleanliness. Bathrooms were missing essentials (tp). Dining room was dirty and when it was less busy employees were noted to be standing around instead of working to refresh dining room.

What a mess. Fries all over the floor in the back and about a 20 minute wait for food. Would recommend new management and cleaner staff. This place is a mess and would never eat here again. Poor place of business. They should be shut down asap. What a dirty place.

I’ve held off making a review for a while because I keep gaslighting myself info hoping the service here will get better, but today it made me late for an appointment. It is upsetting how slow the service is here. You’d think something would have been done by now considering how everyone in the community constantly complains about the same problems over and over, yet nothing changes. It shouldn’t take half an hour to get FAST food, which is the primary convenience that draws people to these kinds of establishments. The people are nice, but it’s absurd how long the food takes and how half the time orders are wrong, dry, or lukewarm. This place could really make a killing if the issues were ironed out; it’s in such a great location. I will have to stop taking my family here until the problems are fixed, which is a shame considering we have so many people to feed.
