The quarter pounder was juicy and seared to perfection. Apple pie was fresh. Sweet tea wasn’t too sweet. You could tell the fry grease was fresh.
Again, I’m not usually a McDonald’s fan, but they are doing very well here! Great job management team and staff work very well together.. you really make a difference!
When I got my food, the sticker was missing from my sandwich, even though the app clearly showed it was supposed to be there. I didn’t even mind that much at first, I just wanted to ask about it and understand what was going on under my understanding food items that have stickers on the app are the same ones as drive-thru. Now I know differently.
But what happened next was absolutely unacceptable. They told me to pull forward for my coffee, so I did. I sat there until 10:00 a.m.(over 20 minutes) waiting for my drink. I saw someone pass by me and tried to ask about the Monopoly piece and my order, one of the older employees completely ignored me and instead tried to hand me food that wasn’t mine. When I politely said “excuse me,” she looked right at me, took the food to the correct car, said “I’m sorry” with wide eyes and a big attitude, then just walked away instead of coming back to help me.
A younger employee (probably around 16 or 17) finally brought out my frappe at 9:58 and was actually polite and respectful. She listened when I asked about the missing Monopoly pieces and went to check and ask about them, so I truly want to commend her for her kindness and effort.
Then the same older woman came back out and rudely told me that I wouldn’t be getting the two Monopoly pieces because they’re “only received through online ordering.” First off, that’s not even stated clearly in the rules, and second, her attitude was completely out of line. When I calmly told her “okay and that ignoring a customer after making direct eye contact and saying something is rude”, she snapped back with, “I’m already doing multiple things at once.”
When I mentioned that she had looked right at me more than once and even responded earlier, she got snippy again and said, “You’re not going to tell me how to do my job.” She even started to say something else before cutting herself off then finally went and got me the Monopoly pieces anyway.
At that point, it wasn’t even about the Monopoly pieces anymore. It was about the complete lack of professionalism and respect. If you can’t communicate kindly or treat customers with basic decency, you shouldn’t be working in the food industry. I genuinely feel bad for her coworkers who have to deal with that kind of attitude.
This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at any McDonald’s. The young girl deserves praise for trying to help, but the older employee needs serious retraining, or a reminder that basic respect goes a long way. At the end of the day it’s a game and if you can’t respect your customers during that game you shouldn’t be able to be there in the first place. Something that was suppose to be fun made me not return back to that new location. Molly rankin
My large fry was only half full and the fries were very cold. My nuggets were missing from my order. And my caramel frappe with extra caramel drizzle was missing the extra drizzle. Also missing straws and napkins.
