I asked at the drive through if the ice cream machine was working and was told that it was. I ordered a chocolate milkshake and was handed this. The cashier even looked at it and questioned a co-worker, “Is this the chocolate shake?” The co-worker answered yes in the most annoyed tone I’ve ever heard.

This is the only fast food in Sandy Hook. We get food here once or twice a month and it is always bad. Today, my burgers were dry and old and really sloppy. I asked for fresh fries and they were certainly not fresh. The only reason I go here is because it is 10 min from me and anything else is 25 min or more.

Food served at the Sandy Hook McDonald’s typifies the expected fare at McDonald’s. Breakfast tends to be better than lunch or dinner menu. Ice cream machine is disappointingly often down. Service at the restaurant is usually very efficient and friendly.

This McDonalds needs so much improvement I do not understand how corporate has not done anything to improve the quality of service and in food preparation. For example, if you order a McChicken, you will get a hot and spicy McChicken. To top it off the chicken is kept in the warmer beyond its time limit prior to disposal, it will be reheated in the fryer and served hardening the texture and drying out the meat completely. They have been seen by myself and other patrons reheating old fries. Either close this McDonalds down and put a White Castles in its place or have the right people come in and do the job correctly.

I come through every morning order me a large sugar-free French vanilla iced coffee with extra cream always, this morning I got me a breakfast burrito the skimpiest burrito I could have possibly gotten. Very sad

Now, don’t get me wrong, McDonald’s is nice. McDonald’s has good food for just about any occasion and is satisfying as long as you eat it in healthy amounts. But this specific McDonald’s brought me nothing but poorer quality food and an awful waiting time to match. This just wasn’t one experience though, this McDonald’s has a track record for taking way too long. I’ve heard so many negative stories I could write a 400 page novel. If you go to another McDonald’s, you’ll most likely receive MUCH better quality. A friend of mine who attends the nearby school was interested in working at this McDonald’s. He was told he would have an interview scheduled twice, but never received a call. Upon asking a third time, they denied saying they’d set up an interview. After that, my friend called it quits on trying to get a job, which is a shame ’cause he works hard. Some of the crew members seem to have little to no clue how to work in fast food. Some of the crew members genuinely care, but that’s ruined by the service some other customers and I still receive. All in all, if you absolutely HAVE to eat here, proceed with caution. If another McDonald’s is around 10-20 minutes away from where you are, it’s worth the extra time spent going there.

I live in Alabama and was visiting family in Kentucky. I went through the drive thru and I have never been treated any better at a fast food restaurant. The young girls name was Reliegh Fannin and she was a true sweetheart! You need to commend her on being such a great worker! I seen the vehicle in front of me how nice she interacted with them and I got the same treatment! She double checked with me on my order and had my drink ready when I got to the window and she said I will have your order ready in a couple minutes. And she did have it in that time but I was impressed how she was cleaning her work area as she was ready for the next costumer. I travel back to Kentucky this will be the only McDonald’s I stop at! Well done Reliegh on a job well done!
