As someone who is four and a half months pregnant, when I need to use the restroom, it is not optional. Being told “no” under those circumstances was not only inconvenient but deeply inconsiderate. To make matters worse, I later overheard employees discussing how even staff members must wait for a code to access the restroom. That means both customers and employees are subjected to unnecessary barriers for a basic human need.
This policy is not only impractical but also potentially harmful. Imagine a female employee or customer experiencing severe menstrual cramps and being forced to publicly ask for a code each time — it’s humiliating and unacceptable.
I will be reporting this incident to the local health department, as I believe restricting restroom access in this way reflects poorly on both customer service and basic standards of care. McDonald’s should remember that dignity and compassion are just as important as efficiency.
At the second window, I received my food and a frappe without the espresso shots I paid for. I then asked for a side of Big Mac sauce and was told it costs extra and that I would have to go back around because payment isn’t accepted at that window.
I find it unacceptable that I was unable to receive or be refunded for three paid espresso shots, but was then told I’d need to make another trip around and pay again for a sauce that costs significantly less. This experience felt dismissive, inefficient, and poorly handled.
Eta. Not to mention the limp fries.
Here’s the problem:
• I’ve gotten ice cream from this exact same location around 8pm two nights this week.
• I also went to the McDonald’s by Walmart right after this — and THEY were serving ice cream at the same time.
So this feels less like “the machine is down” and more like certain employees just don’t want to deal with the ice cream machine and are refusing to serve it because it’s inconvenient for them.
Whatever manager is in charge here — you need to address this. The inconsistency looks lazy, unprofessional, and honestly just like employees doing whatever they feel like instead of doing their job.
If the machine is down, say it’s down.
If they’re cleaning it, say it’s being cleaned.
But don’t just lie and act like ice cream isn’t being served at all.
Because obviously other McDonald’s locations are still serving it — literally at the exact same time.
My mistake for trying to get a quick bite to eat…I’ll eat at the truck stop and at least I’ll get to have a hot breakfast and it’s cheaper
