Used to be the “good” McDonald’s in Berea but the fact they refuse breakfast orders placed on mobile apps even though its before 10:30AM, their ice cream is out or machine is down around 7PM, and that you now need to buy something BEFORE using the restroom makes this the garbage McDonald’s in town. I was gonna buy some lunch here but im not gonna wait 20 min for food just to never get a receipt (the printer on order screens never has paper) on a full bladder.

the service from the people were amazing. it did take them a minutes which is understandable. all fast food isn’t really fast. but i specifically requested no pickles on my burger and they still put in on there. thankfully im not allergic to pickles but some people are. please re-read your tickets before giving food out and save yourself from a lawsuit.

I recently visited this McDonald’s and was shocked by the way I was treated as a paying customer. After going through the drive‑thru, I walked inside to use the restroom. Despite having just purchased food, I was denied access because I did not have a receipt — something they don’t automatically provide unless you specifically request it.

As someone who is four and a half months pregnant, when I need to use the restroom, it is not optional. Being told “no” under those circumstances was not only inconvenient but deeply inconsiderate. To make matters worse, I later overheard employees discussing how even staff members must wait for a code to access the restroom. That means both customers and employees are subjected to unnecessary barriers for a basic human need.

This policy is not only impractical but also potentially harmful. Imagine a female employee or customer experiencing severe menstrual cramps and being forced to publicly ask for a code each time — it’s humiliating and unacceptable.

I will be reporting this incident to the local health department, as I believe restricting restroom access in this way reflects poorly on both customer service and basic standards of care. McDonald’s should remember that dignity and compassion are just as important as efficiency.

I have always gotten pretty good service at this location and the staff are friendly. The woman at the drive through told me that my code didn’t work so we put my code back in. I have in the past had this company in different locations not even tell me that it didn’t work so this was a big help and thumbs up for this location.

I placed a mobile order that included a frappe with three espresso shots. When I arrived at the first window, I was told you were out of espresso — something that was not reflected in the app. I asked if it could be made as an iced coffee instead and was told it was already made, so I accepted it as-is.
At the second window, I received my food and a frappe without the espresso shots I paid for. I then asked for a side of Big Mac sauce and was told it costs extra and that I would have to go back around because payment isn’t accepted at that window.
I find it unacceptable that I was unable to receive or be refunded for three paid espresso shots, but was then told I’d need to make another trip around and pay again for a sauce that costs significantly less. This experience felt dismissive, inefficient, and poorly handled.

Eta. Not to mention the limp fries.

I am an elderly man with kidney and bladder issues. While traveling from Harlan Ky to Georgetown KY I stopped at this McDonald’s to relieve my bladder. I was denied access to the restroom because I was not a paying customer. Provide a receipt and you can enter is what the boy said. They do this because of vandalism he said. I replied, do i look like I’m going to vandalize the restroom? To me that is a policy that needs to be reviewed. Force you to buy something in order to use the restroom! I will be going higher to voice my outrage.

Very disorderly service. Once we finally got the right order then we sat down to eat and it was good from there. Quite atmosphere and not too busy as long as it’s not around 2:30-3:30 when the local kids meet up after school. Lol

At 8:30pm tonight I stopped at this McDonald’s to get a vanilla ice cream. The girl at the register said, “we are not serving ice cream at this time.”

Here’s the problem:
• I’ve gotten ice cream from this exact same location around 8pm two nights this week.
• I also went to the McDonald’s by Walmart right after this — and THEY were serving ice cream at the same time.

So this feels less like “the machine is down” and more like certain employees just don’t want to deal with the ice cream machine and are refusing to serve it because it’s inconvenient for them.

Whatever manager is in charge here — you need to address this. The inconsistency looks lazy, unprofessional, and honestly just like employees doing whatever they feel like instead of doing their job.

If the machine is down, say it’s down.
If they’re cleaning it, say it’s being cleaned.

But don’t just lie and act like ice cream isn’t being served at all.

Because obviously other McDonald’s locations are still serving it — literally at the exact same time.

Making people go back around to add on sauces at the speaker might be helping your “times” but is not helping your customer service at all. Poor decision by management. Maybe the focus should be getting orders out right and not leaving out food people pay for.

Ordered at 5:21am didn’t get it until t:31am because they focused all the attention to drive through…and I got a mcgriddle sausage sandwich instead of sausage egg and cheese…got to my seat and opened it up…was a sausage muffin…3 times I had to get my breakfast fixed…I watched as they got an older gentleman whoyst have been a regular get his food fast ..this is sad and the ticket said eat in and was given a bag then had to wait as the lady took the bag and put it on a tray…it should be help the people in the ORDER they come whether in drive through or counter… quality instead of quantity…and READ….READ and pay attention to the tickets…
My mistake for trying to get a quick bite to eat…I’ll eat at the truck stop and at least I’ll get to have a hot breakfast and it’s cheaper
