I am writing this review because something happened that genuinely surprised me. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, especially for this McDonald’s, which I have been visiting frequently for a long time with my son.

Normally, I use the drive-thru, and I want to be very clear about this: the young employees who work there are always extremely polite, attentive, and respectful. Both the young men and a young woman with black hair and light-colored eyes are consistently wonderful. Overall, the staff has always provided great customer service, which is why this experience stood out so much.

On this particular day, I had to go inside because I needed to use the restroom, and I decided to eat inside with my son. While I was waiting at the counter to place my order, one of the drive-thru employees kindly came over to help me and started taking my order.

At that moment, a woman named Mayra or María (I believe she is a manager, though I’m not entirely sure of her position) reacted in an extremely rude and unprofessional way. She aggressively scolded the employee in front of me and other customers for helping me, saying it was not his job. Her tone and language were very disrespectful and vulgar.

Because she pulled him away mid-order, my order was left unfinished, and I was left waiting for more than two minutes. She then came over to take my order with a very bad attitude, assuming I already knew the full order when it was clearly incomplete. When she charged me, the price was incorrect because she added a Dr. Pepper that I never ordered, which I calmly corrected.

At that point, the situation had already made me uncomfortable, as no customer should be forced to witness an employee being mistreated like that. I went to sit down to wait for my food, and from the dining area, I could clearly hear her speaking badly about me in Spanish, using vulgar language and making inappropriate comments about me as a customer, loud enough for others to hear.

I approached her and told her that everyone in the dining area could hear the disrespectful things she was saying about a customer, and I asked who I could speak to in order to file a complaint. Her response was, “I am the manager.” If that is the case, then the behavior I witnessed leaves a lot to be desired.

In summary, if this review reaches the franchise owner or a supervisor above this woman (again, her name was Mayra or María), I sincerely hope action is taken. Her vulgarity and lack of professionalism are damaging the image of a McDonald’s location that has always been known for friendly and respectful service.

This experience was completely unacceptable.

Last few times I’ve been here have been extremely disappointing. This used to be the best location in cape to me and now I don’t think I’ll be returning. Wrong items one too many times, waiting too long just for food to be cold or even burnt. A waste of time and money at this point. Confused on how an m&m AND Oreo McFlurry with hot fudge turns into an Oreo McFlurry with caramel sauce. I don’t understand waiting 15+ minutes with one other car in line. Honestly just ridiculous, I’ve worked for McDonald’s before too so this isn’t some entitled view point. I know how things work and it shouldn’t be this bad at all

Ive traveled all over the U.S. and this is by far the worst McDonald’s I’ve been to. I waited in line in the store for a simple receipt for over 25 minutes as the first person in line because the kiosk didn’t print one so i didn’t know which order was mine. The workers ignored my attempts to ask multiple times and kept telling me they’d be with me. I’m generally really patient but this was ridiculous.

yesterday night, around 10 pm, i had ordered on uber eats to this mcdonald’s. I’ve had ordered two medium milk shakes, one being vanilla and one being chocolate. like i stated earlier, both were medium. when we have received, our milkshake ended up being smalls which we had paid for mediums, and they both were chocolate and on the uber eats app when we tried refunding our milkshakes and try to get our money back, they only give us money back for one which was $6.47 which I think is absolutely ridiculous since we paid for the fees and paid for the milkshake and mind you it was 10 PM when we tried calling them nobody picked up we kept getting hung up on and this morning we tried calling again cause I want my money back hello? But yeah, we tried calling them and we did not get a response.

The Robot With Human Hair
This is certainly one of the better McDonald’s in Cape Coral. That said, it’s still McDonald’s so don’t expect a dining experience. I’m mainly impressed that it’s clean and the staff are friendly. The bar as far as expectations is that low when it comes to fast food for me!

we got two medium milkshakes on DoorDash one was vanilla. One was chocolate, but when we had received them, they were both a small chocolate. We had tried to contact them last night and they did not answer and we’ve tried four times today and they still did not answer.

Criticism of McD franchise locations as a whole, wait times have doubled – no longer can be considered “fast food”, prices have doubled since the pandemic, meal deals have gone one size smaller for same cost, and now we have the guilty pleasure of McFlurry cost cutting and green washing to this new paper “cup”. I can’t think of anything less appealing (see photo). I like the local friendly staff at this location but Corporate is absolutely killing franchisees and I no idea what’s causing such a decline is service speed nationwide with so much automation having been implemented the last 3-4 years.
Very difficult to recommend anymore as a fast stop for coffee, sweets, let alone meal due to slow food prep times and cost.
