The young man (order taker)with blonde shoulder length hair in the drive thru was excellent! Food was fine too but he is to be applauded. Definitely not expecting that here but he was a nice surprise. Good Job!

Completely rude staff.its as if they are trying to be the stingiest possible . You spend 5.05 on a icecream Sundae and skimpy on everything they watered down the fudge. Disgusting. Never again.

This is my favorite McDonald’s to patronize. I have never had a bad experience at this location. I am well aware of how rude and impatient some customers can be, as I’ve witnessed it first had, but I choose to give workers grace because I believe that they are doing their best to be efficient. When my family visits from The Bahamas we dine inside here because it’s always clean and inviting. For times when I don’t dine inside an employee by the name of Gabriella is consistently cheerful, professional and efficient. I always make it a point to give feedback to workers letting them know they are seen and appreciated. Way to go Gabriella- indeed an asset to this team !

Slowest McDonald’s around. No workers to help. It used to be a lot better but their customer service hasn’t been good. Their drive through also has a lot of problems, ie only taking cash. Definitely finding another one after my last two trips here.

I asked three people, including the manager, if I could upgrade my order from medium fries to large fries. They told me it was impossible because it was out of their control. I had placed the order through the app, so they had no control over it. I told them again that it’s bad service to say that, but they were adamant that they couldn’t do it.

So first off, food tasted like McDonald’s…same old, same old. Not a huge fan, but you know what you’re getting. However, one of my pet peeves is when a restaurant doesn’t get your order right. A place like McDonald’s has systems up the whazoo, yet it’s almost always McDonald’s that we have to count how many sandwiches and nuggets boxes they brought out, because they almost inevitably always forget one or two items. Sure enough, they forgot a 20 chicken nugget on this store. Anyway, if you’re going for the food, you already know what to expect. If you’re going through the drive in, count your items before you leave. I’m starting to think McDonald’s purposely leaves out something as a way of increasing margins with how often it happens.

I usually don’t have high expectations when visiting McDonald’s, it’s late-night comfort food, nothing more. But around 10pm at this location in Florida, I found two fried pieces of wood in my fries. I wasn’t upset, and I wasn’t looking for a refund or freebies. I just wanted to let the staff know in case more wood ended up in other customers’ food that night.
When I went to the counter, before I even spoke, the first manager (Manager 1) looked ready for a fight. I politely smiled and said, “Hi, I just wanted to let you know I found some wood in my fries.” They scoffed, angrily snatched my tray, and shoved a replacement of fries toward me before walking away. I sat there baffled, but went back to the counter to calmly explain again. Manager 2 told me it was just a burnt fry. I asked to see it, and when they pulled it from the trash, I broke the oily piece into splinters right in front of them—it was clearly wood. I again explained I wasn’t asking for anything, just letting them know.
Instead of simply acknowledging the concern, Manager 2 asked me, “Well, what do you want?” All I wanted was for them to take it seriously. Meanwhile, Manager 1 stood behind them, tapping their foot, shaking their head, and glaring at me as if I was the problem. At that point I asked for an apology, because I didn’t deserve the hostility when I was just pointing out a possible food hazard, like telling someone their fly was down. Manager 2 finally apologized, but Manager 1 never did, and the damage was already done.
The whole situation left me shocked. It wasn’t about the wood, I honestly would have laughed it off. It was about being treated so rudely for making a simple, reasonable comment. If working with the public has made the managers this defensive and hostile, maybe it’s time for them to find a different career. In hindsight, what I should have done is also report the physical food hazard to Public Health.
This experience left a far worse taste than the fries ever could.

Not our usual spot for fast food, but we stopped for sweet tea, apple turn overs and a restroom break from traveling. Very cheap, good variety of food, but personally we look for quality. The staff were friendly and the place looked very clean. There was lots of free parking and close to a major road.

Look man, I understand that at 11:30 on a Saturday it’s gonna be busy, there’s a bunch of young kids working at this time and I get it. All I ask for is when I order this overpriced food I can at least get what I’m paying for. If I wanted bread and cheese I’d go home and remind myself how poor I am in the comfort of my home. This is a constant thing here if you live in Davenport stay away from 27. Straight Trash Service
