This McDonald’s has a great atmosphere and is very clean. Once again I had to stop here and change clothes. I wish these new places to put your boats in came with at least a Porta potty.
I came in to get a snack and change my clothes for the long ride home. Once again me and my sister had been kayaking on Lake Norman. When I stop anywhere to use their facilities I always try and buy something.
I have talked about how much I appreciate this McDonald’s before. I took some new pictures. It is very new and everything is pretty. The sun was in my eyes. The pictures aren’t great.
The only thing I had a problem with was the price. When I ordered a medium sprite. I was told “size not available. This size only.” One size. That was all?? Then I ordered a small fry. “This size is not available. We only have the large. If you want it this is what you get”.
So that was kinda confusing. So instead of spending under $5 dollars for a drink and fries. I spent over $6.00. Which I didn’t understand.
Remember when it was on the dollar menu??
What’s up? I really left wondering when I got to my car about the size thing. Did I just get ripped off? I had never been told “this size or nothing”. And then it wasn’t a very nice experience.
But because I stop here all the time and usually they are nice and the bathroom is always clean. I’m still giving them a 4.

They can’t get your order right at this place. We ordered 1 daily burger, 2 bacon cheese burgers, and three chicken strips. When handed over as ready, chicken strips missing. Wait for the strips to be added. Leave and back to the hotel. Bacon cheese burgers are just regular cheese burgers, 3 chicken strips are 4 chicken strips. Sad to find out that McDonald’s in the US is just as bad as it was in France

I’m not criticizing the food or the location itself. Rather, specifically one of the employees that works there.
I went in to get water for my dog. That’s it. Just water.
Now I’ll preface this with saying that I would have paid for the water or the cup or whatever. However, the way this employee presented themselves and spoke to me after this was why I walked off and the sole reason I’m writing this review.
I asked her for “a cup of water, with no ice, for my dog. Please and thank you” in which she rudely replied “we charge for that”. So I asked her if I could bring my own cup in. Before I could finish the words she cut me off saying no. So I just stared at her and disbelief and walked off and said “you have a bathroom”.
A friend of mine went in after me and said her attitude and behavior were completely rude and uncalled for.
I’m not saying fire the woman, but, she seriously needs to be made aware of the fact that if she continues treating people this way she STILL won’t have friends.
Other than her, the foods good. It’s McDonald’s. You knew what you were going for before you went.

I saw a 3.8 star rating and I felt like I had to help out. I have been here on numerous occasions, and I have never had an issue at all, whether it be through the drive-through or the lobby or early in the morning, or in the middle of the night, the staff has always pulled through for me – been kind, quick, courteous, and I appreciate them after a long days work with no food and they are here to take care of me.

Excellent McDonald’s to visit. They are so fast and efficient and always very friendly. I appreciate this one. I drive by the other McDonald which is 7 mins longer drive for me to this McDonald’s but it is WAY Worth the drive compared to the one in Conover on Hwy 70. Now that McDonalds sucks. I live literally 1 minute away from the one beside El Paso in Conover on Hwy 70. The one on Hwy 70 sucks BIG time.

this is honestly one of the saddest mcdonalds in the area, this one is the closet to me, but I’d rather drive 10 extra minutes to another, solely put the service,food,drinks. everything is terrible. especially on morning shifts, you have employees looking at you like your crazy or mad at the world, you have employees jumping in front of you and not saying excuse me, you have employees staring at customers and making faces, not to mention they can’t get your order right at ALL! you always have to constantly repeat yourself over the simplest things, and your order still is never right , it’s just awful!, and to clarify it’s the morning shift around 7am and up, I never have any issues with 3rd or 2nd!

Usually a 5 star review but we had to wait for our coffee so expected it to be freshly brewed but that wasn’t the case. We drove out of the drive thru and started drinking our coffee and just more than halfway through drinking it, I got a mouthful of unpleasant coffee grounds! My husband said his seemed fine until he got to the bottom and his had coffee grounds as well. If I hadn’t been so far away I would have returned to have a fresh cup made.

I just got a 6 piece chicken nugget happy meal. We got home my son opened his box of “chicken nuggets” there were no nuggets. Only a box full of some kind of sauce that had been squirted in a box. I called up there and whoever the manager was was VERY RUDE. I asked her if I could come by later or a different day since I was all the way home (25 minutes away) and she said sure and HUNG UP. Didn’t even ask for my name or anything. This McDonald’s location is the most rudest location!!! I am highly ticked off.
