Food and service were great, and the restroom was clean. Service was fast and friendly.
We stopped here while traveling from Atlanta to Charlotte because this location has a playground. However, when we arrived around 7:30 PM, the playground was already closed, even though the dine-in area was still open.
The playground hours (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) were not clearly shown on Google Maps, which caused us to detour about 20 minutes off the main road. Clearer communication would help families plan better.

I am utterly shocked by the appalling state of the McDonald’s in Belmont, North Carolina. When you think of Belmont, you usually picture a community with wealth, so it’s hard to fathom why a dining establishment would appear so neglected and unclean, especially one where people come to eat.
As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by litter scattered across the floor. The trash bins were overflowing, with refuse spilling out and patrons resorting to piling their waste on top of the overstuffed cans. It was impossible to find a proper place to dispose of trash. I documented this with photographs, which I will include in my review.
After placing an order, customers receive a table number to signal where their food will be delivered. However, the staff seems too indifferent to return these numbers to their rightful place, expecting diners to do it themselves while they eat. This is nothing short of sheer laziness.
To add to the chaos, there was a random rolling cart trashcan just sitting in the middle of the floor, as if someone had started cleaning and then abandoned the task altogether.
The mess on the floor was exacerbated by the overflowing trash cans, leading patrons to toss their garbage on the ground or leave it on tables. It was a truly revolting sight.
Meanwhile, the staff was hanging out in the back, absorbed in their phones and goofing off, completely ignoring their responsibilities. To make matters worse, two employees were casually enjoying their lunch in the lobby while the entire restaurant descended into disarray. It’s baffling to witness such neglect.

This location, like so many now, clearly prioritizes the drive-thru over customers dining in the restaurant. I placed an order inside through the app and waited more than 15 minutes for it to be brought out. Meanwhile I could count the cars coming into the drive-thru and saw 13 vehicles approach on one side of the building and depart on the other side between when I placed my order and when I received my order. The staff acts like they are doing the customer a favor just being there and they are both reluctant and rude about giving condiments, with one employee telling me she is limited by management to giving 4 ketchup packets with a large fries order. The dining area is relatively clean but there always seem to be a few tables strewn with garbage or spills, but the staff clearly doesn’t seem concerned about the dining area.

This McDonald’s is great! We stopped here for lunch and everything was perfect! The dining arra was clean, food was hot, order was 100% correct, and staff was friendly and veryhelpful! What more can we ask.

I ordered a small cappacino and noticed that they raised the price on it AND made the cups smaller, but I wasn’t too mad because I figured it was uncontrollable for the restaurant, but I took one sip and noticed they didn’t even fill my cup all the way, so I’m paying more for half the product? Make it make sense, please. I’m done giving my business to all McDonald’s in general.

This is a sausage and egg mcmuffin with NO American cheese. Same last Wednesday except they did use Sausage instead of Canadian bacon. Many years ago this Belmont store had a great manager. He moved up the chain and left us with this. Sad.
3/26/21 @ 7:30 AM. A month later, sausage biscuit add egg. no cheese. Since I couldn’t eat the biscuit, at least the coffee got rid of the hunger pains. Still one star. (October 3rd, 2023 Sausage and egg mcmuffin no cheese. Took the sausage off instead of the cheese. Check every order before you pull away from the window.

This McDonald’s location stands out from the rest! The food is always hot, unlike other branches where I’ve experienced cold fries and burgers. The service is quick and friendly, ensuring a great dining experience every time. The only downside is that it can get a bit loud due to the kid’s playroom, but it’s a small price to pay for consistently great food.

Stopped at this location to get milkshakes on a hot summer day, drive through was busy, but not if you walk inside. Looks like there is a playground in the back. Very clean, very fast service, and I would highly recommend
