Nice McDonald’s that has easy accessibility and clean restrooms. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our food was good and they have plenty of parking.

Food was excellent. Customer service was questionable. Stood at the counter for a few minutes. There was a CSR that did not seem to have much work to do. Was standing around mostly talking. After a couple of minutes, she came over to me and asked if I could use the kiosk. I politely declined as I have horrible luck with the MCD kiosk system and I can never get my customizations right when using one. It’s much easier and faster to just order at the register. Plus, every time I’ve used one at any MCD, something usually breaks or goes wrong with it. She said that her manager will not allow them to take any orders (even though I had visited this location twice in the past couple days and ordered at the counter without any issue). After telling the manager that I did not want to use the kiosks, the manager came up front and took my order on the kiosk and walked away to let me pay. After paying, it broke and was unable to print my receipt. The manager still ended up having to use the front register to look up my order to print my receipt. The food was excellent and came out pretty quickly. There’s no excuse to force customers to use a kiosk. The kiosks suck and I do not care to use them. It is far quicker and easier to have someone that is trained to take orders to take my order versus me trying to play with a kiosk for twenty minutes to place an order.

What a nice clean pleasant McDonalds. Stopped into day for quick ear in lunch. Restrooms extremely clean, kiosk worked well, very hot fresh food delivered quickly. What more could one ask for?

I went around 3 pm today
11/1/25. And a person said use the kiosk I do not on the clock. I said I am not on the clock either, so me and my family left. This is why you do not have respect customers. I worked for McDonald’s 8 yrs. Started @ cleaner and ended as one of the Store Managers. Never would have allowed this behavior. Good luck in the future I see such a difference in the employee, no pride and now low revenue. All the people I know would rather eat anywhere else than McDonald’s.

The McDonald’s in Manteo used to be the better of the 2 McDonald’s ( here & kDH) this place is officially a joke now… I’ve attempted to go in several times and they act so angry if you want to order in person and not on the screen or online. ( By the way I’ve had issues with the inside screen a couple times which is why I refuse to order that way)… I stood last Saturday morning with my granddaughter in line with several others waiting for over 20 minutes.. my 7 yr old granddaughter wanted food from here or I would have left “sadly the older lady who appeared to be in charge and who took my order then had me wait for over 30 mins for food ..( I had paid and didn’t want to lose my money or I would have left at that point) she was not friendly and neither were none of the others ( their was several workers there ) none were friendly and none had any CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.. my food when I finally got it was COLD, how hard is it to microwave pancakes? Get a hash brown from the fryer??? I was missing syrup,ketchup silverware… things you have to request or not have.. I wasn’t even given the plastic cutlery for the pancakes..I mean maybe they eat with their hands but I prefer a fork.. I was ignored for another 10mins and finally had a girl bringing out food grab the missing items… ( She was so annoyed because of my request) this is so ridiculous.. I live here and it’s been this way for over 2 yrs now.. even in the not busy” off season” it’s horrible.. but behavior and customer service here is ridiculous.. the owner of this store should fire everyone and start afresh..with a good staff this place really could not just make money but be a popular spot with a little TLC, a Good staff and lots of customer service training…

This is not the definition of fast food, however the wait was not the issue. The manager was definitely agitated at several employees. I feel it is inappropriate for her to berate them where everyone at the counter to hear it. Could we concentrate on getting the food out and handling disciplinary actions behind closed doors where they belong.

I think sticky is word I’m looking for. Like the bathroom, the drink fountain, and the filthy table I leaned upon while I waited for my order and watched the comedy unfold. The staff were arguing, the kiosk machine was printing blank receipts, one gentleman was attempting to get them to put the cheese they forgot on his biscuit. My order came out and I was missing my iced coffee. Otherwise my food tasted ok. I’m still giving it a bad review because I was a little uneasy eating it due to its most likely having undergone several stages of bacterial defilement. Moral of the story? Stay away from this place unless you’d like to watch a dramatized reality show in real time, or if you’re looking for something to keep your immune system a challenge.

Can’t really say anything about the food since the staff would rather hide in the back and not serve their customers.
We went through the drive-thru about 2:40PM on a Friday. Waited for 10 minutes for three different team members to try and “find” the order. A manager came to the window + told us we had to cancel the order. We were not able to cancel. And went inside for a refund or for the food to be made. The manager (same one from the window) was told by multiple team members that we were waiting at the cashier…
She did not come to the front until I called the store’s location. She then called her boss and they told us they were not making the food or giving us a refund. That we will just need to wait for the refund thru the McDonald’s app.
We will not be visiting this McDonald’s again… and just WOW what terrible service and waste of time

Cancelled my order because it was snowing a little and they were closing. Road conditions were fine.
