I really enjoyed the $5 Meal Deal — it’s a solid option and honestly a great value. But I can’t say the same for my experience at this location. The way I was treated by the “MANAGER” left me in tears, which was really disappointing, especially since I was there creating content for McDonald’s.
I believe in giving honest feedback, so while I’ll give credit where it’s due for the food, I also hope this review encourages the team here to show more kindness and professionalism to every customer who walks in.

25 min for cold food with missing items. 5 tables had trays or food still on them. When I asked for fresh fries and the missing ones, my fries were dumped into the other fries and I was just handed fries that were just as cold. I saw 4 workers without a uniform on, 2 did. This place is filthy! The pic is of 2 tables the others had people near them. I was here for 45 mins and no attention was given to the dinning room…lots of talking and hanging out in the kitchen though. I wish I was a secret shopper. This would be a large fail!

Worst experience ever. Went through the drive thru and ordered. Hamburger buns were hard as bricks. I had to go inside to get 2 new burgers. Homestead Pa. Waterfront is the worst McDonald’s I’ve been to. I asked for the manager, he’s busy. I waited 20 minutes for 2 burgers. And they still weren’t right. I won’t go back there ever.

I didn’t think there could be a worse Pittsburgh area McDonald’s than the Duquesne location, but then the Waterfront location stepped up and stole Duquesne’s trophy. Yes, the Waterfront McDonald’s is, by far, no doubt, the winner of the worst Pittsburgh McDonald’s. There is a location in central Latrobe that takes the holy grail trophy for worst in Western PA, but the Waterfront is just awful. I recently drove away without my food (having already paid via the app) because 5 staff stood around inside and did nothing while I watched through the window, waiting for my food. That seriously happened. They all stood around talking for a solid 8 minutes and I never received my (pre-ordered/paid via app) food. I just drove away, no reimbursement requested. I’ll just never go back and leave this here.

Here for breakfast at 9am on a Friday. I’m an out of towner and this is one of the best McDonald’s I have ever been too. My English muffin bun was soft and toasted, sausage and cheese was warm. Hash brown was hot and the atmosphere was happy and good vibes! Dining room is clean and customers are happy around me.

The staff is very rude, I had to wait 30 almost 40 mins for 2 plain cheeseburgers and a large fry. Almost every single time I buy food from this location almost every item is made wrong. My plain options are always dressed normal with sauces and veggies. I’ve ordered spicy chicken snack wraps and they had no sauce on those when I for once want sauce. I hate how my frozen drinks are always melted before I even receive them. Half of the time if I’m ever in this location when I order food at the touchscreen I never get a receipt so I’m left wondering what’s going on with my food. They will ask for your number and if you tell them you didn’t get a receipt to tell they have told me that they can’t help me without knowing my number. I’ve had fries that were literally covered in salt to the point that I had to make faces from how salty they were. If you walk or catch a bus you better get inside for the food by 5 pm because they close the dining area at 5pm. I’ve ordered on the app and when I got to this location they have told me the dining area is closed and that if I want my food I have to go through the drive thru. I highly suggest never coming to this restaurant since you can get better at any restaurant in the area in 5 miles.

This location is just ridiculous. They are supposed to have their drive thru open 24 hours, but it rarely is. The restaurant looks open, but no one comes to the intercom or window. Third time this has happened to me in the last few months. At least the app let me cancel the order. Wish there was a zero stars option.

This McDonald’s has consistently decent food. Fries are fresh. There can be a wait if you don’t order ahead through mobile. I have had some really good experiences with staff and also some teenage eye-roll attitude where the person is holding the food out the window in winter waiting for you to drive up and won’t even make eye contact or eat thank you.

Drive thru was quick fast and efficient. I got the steak egg and cheese meal it was yummy. My hash brown wasn’t too hot. The Apple fritter was just ok probably will not ordered it again.
