Whoever is working this lunch hour is on top of their game. Y’all gave me the best lunch I’ve had in a long time from fast food in general. I ate most of the fries before I posted this, but the bag was full! Also something you don’t get often from fast food anymore. So thank you to the team today! McDonald’s – Grand Central Ave, Horseheads, NY
Ordered through the mobile app — the one specifically designed so customers don’t have to guess how to order food.
But according to the staff, we “ordered it wrong.”
Through the app.
That only lets you pick what it offers.
So clearly this was our fault for… using it.
Instead of helping fix anything, the employees decided the better move was to have a disparaging conversation about us right in front of us — and then laugh about it. Out loud. Like we were part of the evening entertainment.
Nothing says “I take pride in my job” like openly mocking customers while you’re on the clock.
If you’re confused, you explain.
If there’s an issue, you fix it.
If you’re frustrated, you take it to the back — not turn the counter into an open-mic roast session.
This wasn’t customer service. It was Mean Girls: Fast Food Edition.
10/10 for confidence.
0/10 for professionalism, maturity, or basic human decency.
I won’t be back. But I’m sure you’ll get a good laugh out of that too.

Holy incompetent… never come here.. absolutely zero stars, workers have zero regard for hygiene or basic human decency. In one visit I had a worker’s children who were sitting in the waiting area playing tag and body slam into me, as well as a worker bragging to a friend who was visiting the store saying “bro I’m so drunk right now” and snuck his friend a bunch of free food. Not sure who runs this place, but if law enforcement or OSHA ever entered this building it would certainly be shut down.

Closed for breakfast with “unforeseen circumstances” being the cause. Also conveniently on the days they have breakfast deals. This has been happening often, they just won’t open for breakfast. I hope they can get this straightened out.

Ashira, Camilla and Charlie are a total sweethearts! They were very kind and helpful with my order. I super appreciate their efforts and for doing beyond what is required of them. I salute every single people who works/worked in fast food chains. I’m sure it’s not easy dealing with different kinds of people with unappreciative salary, but thank you so so much for still being kind and warm.
I hope other people remember that employees are hardworking humans too, and they will be able to serve better if the company pay and appreciate them better.

Burnout
Another rude McDonalds! And this time the manager managed to curse at customers. Awful, slow service! And at McDonalds prices…better off going somewhere else! Probably the worst one in the area…and the other McDonalds in the area aren’t that much better.

First, I got there at 16 after is when she actually print my receipt I didn’t leave the window till 33. You could see the picture. She says have a nice day. I asked where my food was and she just kept doing her thing like hello where’s my food? The guy just shrugged the shoulders. They both ignored me. I kept asking for it. Finally she comes back to the window she goes “what do you want? I finally got food!not mine! Then she goes. Oh, what did you have?I said I asked for one plain cheeseburger, you seen how long I had to wait,so then I get this cheeseburger.The guy handed it to me literally hand it to me no bag no napkins no I mean McDonald’s is known for not having napkins but no bag. Nothing just hand me the burger so yes, I took a picture of my hand still in my window where he handed it and then I close the window so I drive a little bit ahead they’re jampacked. I’m like never mind. I’ll just keep going so then I head home and I’m hungry. I opened it up and it’s burnt. How am I supposed to eat a burnt Burger? I have seen some bad McDonald’s, but this is the absolute worst. This was their second chance because I had gotten a Mcrib and it was hard as rock and the lady goes you should’ve bought it right back and I told her I was traveling. I was heading to Virginia. I didn’t open it. I was 10 minutes down the road and I asked for light sauce on it because I was traveling and it was full of sauce. This is absolute worse. I’m still in shock. Just hand me the receipt. Have a nice day now where’s my food and the guy just handmade sandwich and a burnt one on that I know it’s hard to find helpers but wow train depot you still need to train the ones you get you can see the cheese didn’t even melt because oh that was the other thing. The cheese wasn’t melted when I touched it. It was cold. What was I waiting for that whole time insane.

Long wait for food. Young man at the register says to another employee, “ if people complain about the wait for food, I’ll tell them to go to the Dunkin’s by the mall that burned” and then everyone started laughing. Completely inappropriate.

Fries were gross and cold tasted old. Health department should come in and have an intervention about cleanliness. Floors were disgusting and dirty. Felt like they mopped the floor with oil. Bathrooms were the same way absolutely filthy overflowing garbage and toilet paper everywhere. Employee standing in the bathroom on her phone until I walked in. Order food at 1:05pm was told to pull up as there waiting on fries waited till 1:35pm and left never got my order and more then likely wont be refunded either. Like in what world does fries take more the couple minutes if that seems from reviews this is normal there gotta be the worst/slowest MCDONALD’S in the area.
