I placed my kiosk order, originally around $81 prior to using my McDonald’s app, around 11:01am for 60 chicken nuggets, 12 chicken strips, 1 Big Mac, 1 spicy snack wrap, 4 French fries, 3 drinks, and sauces. The entire order came out around 11:20am, without any mistakes. The food was fresh and hot. The entire McDonald’s team was very professional and efficient. I asked for extra paper bags to sort through the large order and the female staff member was very nice and gave them to me.
I personally witnessed a disruptive customer complaining about his steak breakfast sandwich, using foul language. The female McDonald’s manager was very professional and refunded the money to the customer as he had loudly demanded.

There was no McFlurry available; Maybe this is a seasonal item for the Summer?

I’m very impressed by this McDonald’s team! Thank you for making my lunch run for 10 hungry high schoolers attending the robotics competition at the Middletown High School on a Saturday on 1/10/2026 so seamless!

That burned part is the bun. This sandwich was for my mom who obviously couldn’t eat it since it was inedible. After a call to report it, no apology. I will never return to that McDonalds.

Placed a mobile order on Christmas not knowing they were closed. Reached out to customer care and they stated i needed to go to the restaurant directly for my refund. No problem. I get there and stand at the counter for a good 4 minutes with employees walking past me not greeting or anything. Finally the manager (Spanish man) tells a young girl to help me out, she had no idea what to do so she had him step in. He was absolutely horrendous. Telling me I couldn’t get my refund (almost $30 worth) because “they were closed that day” the entire point of me getting a refund- the app allowed the order to go through even though the store was closed. I had to swear at him and raise my voice to get the refund that customer care told me they would reach out to the store about. Not sure the disconnect. But the management sucks and they need to get it together. 0/10 stars. If you can’t be customer oriented then you need a new profession.

Staff just stares at the customers in the drive-thru. No hi, how are you doing, no Thanks, no nothing…just get the typical “Gen Z stare” or the “third world stare”. LOL. This is a prime location…they should hire friendlier staff that the very least, says thank you. This is the reason I usually only go to the location on Berlin road..they usually thank customers, at the very least…

McDonald’s in Cromwell is a convenient stop over for a quick meal or snack. In this visit we met up with an acquaintance and to grab a snack. Although this is not our usual McDonald’s of choice since we have one closer to home it was quite close and it is conveniently located to various shopping venues including Stop and Shop diagonally across the street, the Dollar Tree in the plaza less than a mile down the road( which also has a grocery store ShopRite), and Walmart a few miles away. Thus it can easily be integrated into errands or weekly grocery runs.

The parking lot is rather tight. Being near the interchange with Rte 9 and the connection to interstate 91 there are many trucks stopping in for a rest or quick meal. This time there was a large car carrier taking up several spaces, making caution to enter necessary. The spaces are not huge and in an SUV we had to take care. The lot was above 75% capacity mid day on a work day. The entrance and exit were well marked and visible from the street.

The restaurant itself is as one has come to expect from a typical McDonald’s. The service was pleasant and friendly. One of the biggest draws for me is the inexpensive food. The quality is very consistent as one expects with a box chain store. If you are looking for a healthy meal or gourmet, McDonald’s probably is not the choice for you. What it does shine at is inexpensive predictable food served quickly with a smile and that’s what I got.

The restaurant offers indoor dining options. We opted to order in and eat in our cars because we were awaiting the arrival of someone and wanted to be able to spot them. There was ample space to dine in had we chosen to, and there are several window seats with a view of the world going by outside. The drive through line was lengthy, and we got a better parking spot.

Departing from the restaurant and the traffic are also a point to consider as part of your trip. While it is possible to exit to Shunpike Tpk either to the right or left, the traffic in the area is heavy most times, and making the left to head South requires considerable caution and patience. Integrating this stop into your excursion so that it is on your right to enter(such is the case if you are driving north on Shunpike, that is, towards route 217) and that you will continue to the North on exit will make the trip more pleasant and safe.

Overall this was a good visit to a different McDonald’s that I do not frequent. It was a convenient stop to have a quick meet up and grab an ice cream snack. The service was good, the menu predictable, and options to eat as expected. Parking, traffic, and long drive through are minor annoyances to consider. With a bit of planning you can make the most of the trip, get a good parking spot and arrive and depart with minimized hassle.

I went to this Mcdonalds yesterday morning a quick stop before heading to work. I ordered a Steak egg and cheese bagel and a hashbrown there wasn’t a line so I didn’t think they could mess up my order. When I got on the highway and opened up the bag it was pies, no sandwich or hashbrown which were the only things I ordered. I called the restaurant to make them aware of their mistake, they asked if I could go back so they could fix it OfCourse I was unable to since I work 35 minutes from this McDonalds. I was back in the area in the evening so I stopped by to speak to a manager to see if I could get a refund or even credit as this the second time, I have had an issue at this location. Another employee came up and was translating for the manager. She was communicating to her employee in Spanish as if I did not understand what she was saying and wasn’t communicating with me till I addressed her directly.

How can you ask a customer if they have a receipt when your staff at the window aren’t giving them or even offering it to the customers. I had my phone with a picture of what they gave me, call log of when I called and bank statement. I was trying to show her my bank statement with their address, time stamped of when I purchased and how much I spent, and she just kept going back and forth with me about how I should have brought back the pies, and how I need to call next time (which I called in as soon as I seen THEIR MISTAKE). I normally don’t ever ask for refunds or even take the time to complain, but her demeanor was unprofessional and the back and forth was uncalled for when it was not my mistake. Check your customers orders before just handing out any orders in the drive thru and you wouldn’t have unhappy customers returning. I will never come back to this location. You have rude unprofessional people working here!
