Extremely disappointed. I ordered a medium fry and was pleasantly surprised to discover it was only filled about halfway (no fries were at the bottom of the bag) Apparently, “medium” now means “sample size.” Prices continue to rise, yet portions seem to be shrinking. If I’m paying for a medium fry, I’d love to actually receive one.

It’s like they want to eliminate The human experience in expect everyone to use the digital screen to order the food. It was an older gentleman in the lobby standing there for about 5 minutes before someone waited on him.. when the woman brought out my food I politely attempted to let her know that this gentleman was standing here for 5 minutes waiting to place an order. She immediately gave me an attitude.. anyways I ordered a large Big Mac meal and this is the fries that I pulled out of the bag…. And after reading some of these Google reviews poor customer service and small food portions are a common practice with this place. you have to be joking

Went to the location in Newport vt. It was just about lunch time and they were already out of all the food needed to the shift. Literally no burgers, nuggets buns … nothing. Turning people away at 1030 on a Sunday because your out of food is insane work. People were lined up sitting in the drive through for 30 min with no one informing them of what was going on.

Ordered on the app for drive thru. App says they’ll start preparing my order to have it ready around the time I arrive. Sit at the box for 5 minutes behind other cars, give my order, still get parked and wait another 6 minutes so about 10-15 minutes for “fast” food. Tell me why 3 burgers, 2 small fries, and a total of 28 nuggets should take this long. But hey the person on headset apologized for the super long wait for her to take my order. STOP PARKING CARS TO GAME YOUR DRIVE THRU NUMBERS AND GET BETTER! It’s supposed to be a measure of customer satisfaction and instead you just piss people off.

This specific McDonald’s location needs a serious visit from corporate. I’m sooooo close to calling corporate on them. The employees suck, they’re so unfriendly, rude, will swear at you. They barely ever give completely correct orders. Everytime I go there, I get treated like trash. This McDonald’s is HORRIBLE. I’d literally drive to a different one to avoid Newports McDonald’s just because of the employees. It’s not all of them, but some regular employees and some managers. Someone needs to step in from corporate because I’ve complained to managers and they’re horrible too! Come on! Let’s make this McDonald’s like it use to be, better!

May ’25: My last visit. With new options like Wendy’s and Chipotle just 10 minutes away, there is no reason to waste money here anymore. So incredibly tired of the incompetence and lack of customer service. Avoid this place at all costs, it has to be the worst McDonald’s in New Hampshire/Vermont.
July ’24: My issues with this location aren’t with the drive-thru staff, it’s specifically for the nighttime kitchen crew. The photos below are how I constantly receive my food. This has happened at least 4 or 5 times now. They often forget items and ingredients as well.

They keep giving us half full fries. It like ordering a large fry and getting a medium or ordering a medium and getting a small but in the correct container you ordered. You don’t get what you pay for. The staff is friendly, and for the most part do a good job, but it seems when it gets busy they give me less just get me out of the way. I don’t mind waiting for what I ordered if they just tell me they are waiting on fries.

Waited in drive through for over a half an hour tonight and they only took 2 orders and when we checked inside they are only 3 people inside ordering. They said they were in a rush but that is a lot. Awful service. I could have gotten an actual restaurant order faster than this.

Was waiting in drive thru for 39 minutes just for a medium fry and spicy mchicken. Girl said give me one second, left two full busy lanes. I called McDonald’s multiple times only to have them not only let it ring first but start HANGING up! What a terrible management and team.

This place used to be better, but in recent times as taken a nosedive. Still not as bad as West Lebanon, but approaching a level of disregard that it’s not even worth the hassle. Expect to have to go inside after the drive thru and correct your order 3 separate times.
