Thoroughly enjoyed eating here last night. The service was really good, everyone had a smile on their face and wanted to help you. The food was exceptional, really fresh tasting. I highly recommend the Rogan Josh. Also thought it was great value for money. We will be back.

Great welcome, prompt service and drinks straight to the table. Traditional Indian music adds to a really nice atmosphere. Ordered 4 poppadoms, came quickly and poppadoms and dips were very good. Starters.. Lamb chops were the best I’ve ever had!…and I’ve had a lot. Chana Chat flavours were incredible. Awaiting mains…
South Indian Garlic and Chilli – This was incredible, I’m honestly am lost for words. Got to be one of the best curries I’ve ever had, all the flavours and spices are so cooked in, it tastes like the spices have been cooking on low for 3 days! Lamb so tender, it’s a solid 10.
Beguna Ghost – Recommended by the owner this again was incredible. The flavours just scream out. One of the top 5 curries I’ve ever had…
The pilau rice is so fragrant and light, it tastes like a complex biryani again the flavours are so deep.
I know this is starting to sound like a paid review but I promise it’s not. The food here is remarkable. It’s so good that we live over 2 hours away but will definitely be back.

Great Sized Portions and a Very Wide Selection of Delicious Food.

The food is genuinely immaculate. Succulent chicken, tender lamb which melts in your mouth, a genuine delicious underrated find. Its very fresh to see and Indian cuisine restaurant which delivers such consistent food.

We live abroad now, and have lived near the Leicester curry area before, and had some great curries in London too.
However, this was one of the best curries we have had in many years. All the dishes were different. All the meats were tasty, and tender. The naans were large, but lovely and thin and crispy. The service could not have been more friendly, and the venue had lovely fresh decor.
We were staying up the road in Gretna hall hotel for a wedding, and its walking distance. Well worth a visit! (And free parking).

Great india restaurant in a quant little town. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We ordered beer and vodka drinks. The bhindi was yummy and the nans were soft and crispy. Will visit again.

There was 4 of us, everything was perfect
The starters were delicious
And the curry’s, egg pilau rice and Garlic Nan tasted fantastic.
The chief waiter provided great service and added to the atmosphere with his sense of humor .

Fabulous food. Good ingredients cooked to perfection. Light naans and rice. Generous portions (consider mains for sharing). Super staff. Nice atmosphere.

Excellent food and friendly relaxed service. Good sized portions, clearly freshly cooked. They don’t pester you in between courses, but keep an eye on meal progress from a distance. A must try for any curry lover.

Found this place when in Gretna booking our wedding, what a find, lovely welcome, fantastic staff and great atmosphere. Food was to die for, authentic, tasty, fresh flavoursome, perfect all round fantastic experience, to the guy from Whitley Bay, “canny bag of Tudor” thank you we will return from the makems (Sunderland)!! x
