McCormick’s Fish House is a decent pick for fish on the Westside. The raw oysters I had tasted fresh and were nicely presented. The grilled steelhead I had was good quality and cooked just right. I do like the menu options without all the carbohydrates. The menu items, priced like a high-end establishment; however, the place feels “worn.” The restrooms especially make you feel like you entered a dive bar. Overall I thought the food and service were good, but the place is long overdue for a remodel.

While our tuna and coconut shrimp appetizers were very good, our main courses were disappointing. My Coho salmon was under seasoned and way overdone. Think dry. The vegitables far outshined the salmon. My son’s Mahi Mahi was equally dry. My husband’s shrimp and Andouilli mac & cheese was made with cocktail shrimp and was very underwhelming and lacking in Andouilli. The only people at our table who were happy were those that ordered steak and chicken. Next time we will cook at home. On the bright side the service and atmosphere were excellent. Definitely not a $200 meal for 5 people.

We come to this restaurant often. It is great for older people as well as families. The food is really good and reasonably priced. The daily specials are most of the time outstanding. The salads are fresh and really good. Salmon, cod, scallops, halibut and shrimp is always good. Very good service, sometimes a bit slow but nice people at the restaurant.

I had Christmas day dinner with my sisters. We were seated promptly and our server checked in quickly. Drink orders were taken and menus presented. Drinks arrived 5 minutes later, and we made our menu selections. Our meals were well prepared (sea scallops) and the portions were appropriate. Their desert menu is good, and there are seasonal offerings.
Expect to pay $50-75 per plate depending on bar, entree, and desert selections. Cost-wise our entree selections we’re mid-range, each of us had a cup of soup or salad before the entree, a mixed drink or wine, and desert… Each plate averaged $60. Dinner for 3 with a 20% tip (our server earned it) totaled $215.
Although my overall experience was good, it did not meet my expectations based on reputation, advertising, and reviews.

So good…we were a party of 9 and we arrived 40 minutes before closing. And they were extremely accommodating with special food requests and the food was amazing. So I highly recommend. It’s a bit on the pricey side but worth it. The seafood entrees ranges from about $23-40.

Good place to eat. Service was excellent. We came around 8:45, and they usually close around 10:00. There wasn’t anybody there except for one other couple, and we came to be the last folk there before closing. The waiter gave us exceptional service though, and my wife’s king crab was above average, and my pole was also. Exceptional service with good food!

In the spirit of transparency, I’ve never sat on the restaurant side, but I’m a regular on the bar side. Their Happy Hour is superb, great drink and food specials, and everything I’ve had from the kitchen has always been good. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is definitely my top Go-To spot in the area.

Bar got busy for the 4-5 hour. Next time I’ll likely stick to the happy hour menu. Seafood trio was considerably tasty but underwhelming for $31. Service was good, they are friendly, just main meals are mildly over priced… Which is not unusual, but it was not “fine dining” other than the bill at the end 🙂

Definitely overrated. Ordered Pacific swordfish (sautéed), seafood trio, & stuffed shrimp. The swordfish was fantastic—perfectly cooked, paired with a lovely sauce. The stuffed shrimp was alright but not the best (or freshest) I’ve had; although the sides of zucchini & cheddar mashed potatoes were good. Seafood trio: stuffed shrimp & breaded shrimp were fine; but the salmon was undercooked to the point of being *raw & completely inedible*. Clam chowder was good, as was the sourdough bread. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, & apologized for not asking how the salmon should be cooked (medium, well done, etc.), although I fail to see how this would be the waitresses’ fault—IMO unless the menu specifies “salmon tartar”; the common sense thing would’ve been for the chef to cook it all the way through so it isn’t raw. The waitress offered to replace it with a piece that was cooked through; but it just didn’t sound terribly appealing after a mouthful of raw fish. Also, their water glasses come with an unexpected decorative bonus…lipstick from the last person who drank from them. Simply put: for the prices they charge, the food should be *much* better. Unimpressed.
