McCarthy’s Pub in Tequesta is an absolute gem. Owner Michael Huddleston has truly created something special here. The prime rib was outstanding—perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful—served with an Oven-baked potato, asparagus, and a classic Caesar salad that complemented it beautifully.
Before the meal even began, a bread basket with fresh scones was brought to the table, which was such a delightful touch. The espresso martinis with Bailey’s were phenomenal—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced.
The chicken pot pie was superb, packed with incredible flavor and truly melted in your mouth with every bite. Comfort food at its finest.
To top it all off, the entertainment by TKM and Company; The Soul of Motown featuring international recording artists Troy McCray, Merv Thompson, & T. Hatcher was extraordinary, making the entire evening memorable and fun. From the food to the drinks to the atmosphere and live music, everything was exceptional. I called for a reservation for Valentines day for a table for dinner and to hear our friends perform. We arrived no reservation even thow my name was at the top of the list. Another person was called over and said well we could sit you at a hight top. I have hip and back issues my husband physically has difficulty with high tops then they said well we could sit you at a booth of which you cannot see the performers, we declined I said there are 2 table empty why cant we sit there they said they were reserved, I said I had a reservation there is my name right there. Luckily friends of our were already seated and offered for us to sit with them and we accepted. No one brought us a set up I had to take some from another table. My cream for coffee had black things in it, had to asked a very nice man to help me with that my server was no where in site. The food was excellent but then the bill came and it was 1 bill clearly we did not arrive with our friends for dinner and I said we would need separate checks, she literally snapped the 1 check off our table and returned with the split bills. I realized everyone in there were there for a 6:30 reservation and very stressed but I felt ill treated.

McCarthy’s Pub is amazing! I live down the street and every time I go here I wonder why I am not a regular. The staff is awesome every time and the food is incredible! Literally the best Reuben I have ever had! The drinks are also well made and of course I get to enjoy some of my favorite Irish beverages here.

Musician Bobby Fonseca as always, was terrific. The food was so good, I ate more than I should have Mccarthys is such a comfortable environment I had to drag my friend away because it was closing time!

Ignore any reviews greater than two months ago. The restaurant is under new ownership. The menu has changed for the worse. Food and service are now way below average. With so many excellent restaurants into Tequesta they will need to really step it up to be profitable. Staff tried to make it up to us with multiple apologies and comping part of meal but we will not be going back.

This was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! Cathy was the absolute best server, she was so nice, attentive and quick. It really makes a difference when you have a nice server, we will go back again and ask for her. The food was great, the beer was cold and the atmosphere was adorable! We both ordered burgers and pretzel bites- they were amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try more. Thank you Cathy for a great experience and awesome service!

Terrible slow service, server making excuses but she never came around. Tables that came in after us were served first. When we did receive our food it was just thrown on the plate. Asked for butter for baked potato no one came back.

Our family has been dining in at mcarthys for thanksgiving since 2018 then we started taking it out when the virus hit in 2020. Every year I call a week before to make sure I can pick it up and give my order. This year I called a week before and she said “Yes we have take out we have turkey, prime rib, or fish you can pick it up at 1” I offered to place an order but she said no dont need it. When I got there on thanksgiving the 2 hostesses said “We are not doing take out this year sorry” I said “But I called a week ago and confirmed”. They didnt care. So on thanksgiving afternoon we had no dinner. Why would you do this to a customer?
