McCall’s BBQ and Seafood is a family owned Business that has been serving eastern NC for 32 years. We serve pit cooked BBQ, BBQ Chicken, Fried Chicken, Seafood, and Daily Specials. We are open 7 days a week and have a lunch and dinner buffet with all of the favorites. We offer takeout and have online ordering available. We can Deliver for larger Orders with advance notice, but do offer delivery through Door Dash. We also are known for our Catering services from Pig pickings to formal Weddings we can take care of your catering needs.

Fried wings are seasoned well. Just wish they were larger and not so expensive. The hush puppies are good and the cornbread cake (chew bread) is great too.

Better than the similar buffet restaurants. Good selection of food, while I was not thrilled by the bbq itself, the fried fish was awesome! Saturdays are trout and flounder, I’ve been told. Will be back for sure. And the coleslaw is on point.

My family and I loved the food, and especially the service. The waitress, Miss Mary Taylor, was so polite and patient, and refilled our cups without question. The food selection was great, as there’s many things to dine on. Though, the pasta salad is a bit too salty, whilst the collard greens being too unseasoned. But the food overall was great. The atmosphere is amazing, as it has a fireplace, plenty of TVs, and plenty of plants. An overall rating of this place would be a good 4.5 stars. I will recommend and would come here to eat again!

Have been getting take-out from McCall’s for years and have always been very happy with it. My standard order is a pint of BBQ with bread and slaw. This last visit we met a group of local family members and dined indoors from the buffet. First, our server was outstanding with friendly and very attentive service even though we were there at peak time on a Saturday. Selection is great, from breads, soups, salads, main courses, to desserts. Selections on the buffet varied in quality. The soup, bread and salad were very good. The pork BBQ was OK, but the beef BBQ which I’d never had before was excellent. The ribs were good. The BBQ chicken looked great, but was very dry. Almost anything fried was dry and hard, from the chicken legs to the livers. The sides were all very good. Leave room for dessert ! There are so many selections to choose from. I sampled 5 and they were all very good.

The food was delicious overall…except the collards were a little bitter and the banana pudding a bit runny….the shrimp ,fish and fried chicken were delicious including the BBQ and chicken BBQ….oh and the chicken and pastry was yummy as well. This was our first visit and the buffet was fantastic. We had a wonderful waitress who kept our tea filled. We will definitely be back !

We went there at 8:55pm and we were going to do take-out but Mrs. Lisa the manager told us to eat in. We got the best service from Maria Kittell. She made sure we had everything and were full even at closing time. Mrs. Lisa came behind her and asked did we eat all we wanted. Everything was great!! We most definitely will be coming back from the food and service we received!! And we were from out of town!! Great atmosphere and all the staff!!

Buffet style mixture of soul and seafood. It appears to be a very popular place as we were met with the after church crowd but got in quickly. The food was good with a variety of ribs, fish, salads, etc.. there was dessert such peach, blueberry and apple cobbler, sweet and unsweetened tea and lemonade. Decent place to stop if you’re in the area.

My husband and I were traveling thru Goldsboro and decided to stop to eat. Each time we had passed McCalls in the past there were loads of cars in parking lot. Today we stopped and tried the restaurant. Fried chicken and bbq chicken and the ribs were very tough and dry, deviled crab tasted like it had been reheated from the day before, the fried shrimp was either over cooked or reheated from prior day, the bbq was too vinegary and too salty, greens beans were mushy and too salty, butter beans and corn were good, desserts were ok but nothing special. Best item on menu was the ice cream. Our bill was $55 for the two of us and we left feeling like we had wasted our hard earned money. We won’t revisit this restaurant. Service was good and bathrooms were clean.
