Our deck–open in the summer–overlooks the city and Payette lake. We are a true micro-brewery, brewing right in the middle of the building. MBC has up to twelve of our own ales on tap at any one time.

A nice little place in McCall to get a good beer and some decent pub food.
There is a brewery and tasting room with a full bar and five TVs. Plenty of tables and booths to sit at, plus an outdoor rooftop patio. We opted to be inside since winter is still happening.
All the wait staff were excellent. They came by several times to make sure everything was okay. The food came out quick, although the pub wasn’t busy.
Oh yes, to the food. The squeeze and I shared an order of finger steaks and fries. It is our norm to split an order for lunch. The meat tasted good, nice and tender. Spices in the coating decent. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The dip for the finger steaks had a good amount of horseradish in it, wasn’t overpowering but put heat into the bite.
They did bring an extra plate, which was nice, and not to be charged for it is even better. They may have added some extra fries and fingers, don’t know, but we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity.
Hippy Hopped Pale Ale had a nice taste of hops, kind of like a session IPA. The Mackinaw Red brew was oh so malty!
It was a little cool in there.

I am usually not one to leave a negative review, and I honestly feel bad doing it but I was unfortunately unimpressed with our experience here. The food was priced higher than expected, which would have been fine if the food was good.
My husband ordered a medium rare steak and it came out nearly uncooked. I would say it came out blue but I fear that might be an overstatement. It wasn’t even edible but he didn’t have the heart to send it back so he took it back to our air bnb and cooked it himself. The chicken tenders I ordered were probably the best part of the meal, but they came out a bit overcooked in my humble opinion.
The only semi redeeming quality here was our server who did not provide great service, but she didn’t provide poor service either. Sub par for sure.
Again I hate to leave a negative review, but I was just baffled to pay over $100 for a meal that was not even close to worth that price. Hopefully it was just an off night, and I’d love to give the benefit of the doubt, but we went to this restaurant because it had pretty good reviews, and I feel a bit misled.

Great spot, beer was very good. They do combination beer as well with a couple of styles that taste fantastic. Only stopped by for a beer and a sample. Did not try the food but it did look good from what other people near by got. Close to the lake and definitely stop by if you are in McCall

We stopped here on our way to Boise. It’s a cute little brewery in a beautiful town. There was a lot of beer to choose from. The staff was friendly, but the food was mediocre.

Stopped at the brewery for some food and drinks. We Sat upstairs in the outdoors terrace. We both had the Hazy Jones IPA and it was delicious. Service by Peyton was great. The food was ok. We decided to try the fish and chips and the finger steaks. I didn’t really care for either one. I’m not a lover of fried foods so that may have something to do with it. I like that they sell some t-shirts and other souvenirs.

This was a bit of a mixed bag for food. The buffalo chicken salad was fantastic, but the chicken sandwich and beer pretzel were just okay. However, the beers were fun to try, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the patio seating was awesome. Would go again for the salad, but perhaps after a bit of a wait.

Terrible service. Asked a question about a soup and got looked at like I was asking her to perform brain surgery. Brought a round of drinks to the head of the table and I had to get up and walk to head of table as she stated “if I move, I am going to spill” even though she just hauled it 40 ft from the bar. They have a stupid policy that was the nail in the coffin for this place. Groups of 8 or more and they won’t split the bill. If we were a group of 7, we could get 7 individual tickets, but once we’re are 8, they wouldn’t split it into 3 tickets. Dumbest policy I have ever heard. Will never spend another dime at this establishment. Food was mediocre but not terrible. The waitress and the check splitting policy was the demise of our experience. They set our group at a table for 6 and told us they would bring over an additional table. We sat there for about 5 minutes and when we asked our waitress about the table, she stated we wouldn’t be getting one as they didn’t have any to spare. We had waited 30 minutes for a table for 8. When we mentioned that the gentleman that sat us said he was bringing one she shrugged us off and said she didn’t know what he was doing and walked away. The bartender and the other guests were the only saving grace and bumped the atmosphere rating.

What a great day at McCall brewery! After a long day on the lake stopped in for lunch. My Husband and I enjoyed the lemon ginger Hefeweizen! Can’t begin to rant and rave about the beer and quality! The service was impeccable our bar tender was attentive and very friendly! She continued to smile! Very knowledgeable about all the beers and merchandise! Walked away with the anniversary cup and shirts as souvenirs for me to share back home. Very delightful experience.

Great service and beer. We visited on he Sunday before Christmas. Food was mostly average except the beer cheese soup was amazing. Had a tiny bit of spice to it. Was a step above others I’ve had. We also had the nachos and burrito which were fine normal mass market food. Loved the building and all of the Christmas decorations. Loved that the glasses were specific with which beer you ordered you don’t see that very often in America.

Our family decided to eat at McCall Brewing Company and just share some appetizers for a quick lunch. At the prices listed, we figured three apps and drinks would be enough for the 5 of us. The food came out on normal meal-sized plates (very small) and the food itself was nothing to write home about – Meh. Our bill before tip was $80.00 – plus there was an added credit surcharge (we paid cash). Our server was kind but with so many other options in McCall, I think that was our last visit here.
