Employees were pleasant and the food was good, but the service was exceedingly S L O W and the place was filthy. I counted at least seven tables needing to be cleaned and two or more were used as staging points for dirty plates (see picture). Other tables pretending to be clean had random trash on them and you could kick away paper napkins on the floor. This was about 3 PM, so definitely not rush hour.
I can’t recommend the place based on my experience today.

Glad I didn’t tip. The food sat in the window to long. Had to go to the counter to ask about our food. The bread on the plate side had already gotten soggy from sitting and getting cold. The thousand island dressing had discolored. The red beans and rice, had developed a dry crust on top. Not very good service at all.

Been here a couple times in the last couple years and it was good then. But this time we waited almost 45 min for our food. They were really busy so I’m sure the staff was having a hard time keeping up. BUT the food wasn’t really that good when it finally came out. All of our salads had wilted soggy lettuce and the sandwich bread was kinda soggy. Like our plates sat for some time while the melt was being cooked maybe. Idk, but it took forever, no one said sorry for the wait, and the food was sub par. Hopefully it was just an off day for them.

Ordered some to go soup and some broccoli à la la la cart. The food arrive fresh hot, and the delivery driver was polite. Highly recommend to students in Laramie Wyoming

We’ve been here a couple times now. The food is average. It is convenient and relatively inexpensive. I just wish it was better. Sandwiches are smaller than you’d expect, sloppily put together, wilted lettuce, etc.

EDIT: I still stand by my previous review however I want to bring attention to the business that I had a cashier named Demi who was incredibly snarky and unkind. I was asking her questions about the kind of soups offered. I couldnt even hardly get a word out before she just said “nope, nope. Nope, we don’t have that anymore”. And it wasn’t said in a kind way. Just very dismissive.

Came in at 8:20pm and was going to order pickup as I knew they closed at 9pm and didn’t want to be THAT person . Jess was a SUPER sweetheart. She told me that I was more than welcome to dine-in and that they’d “love to have me”. A guy with light hair (I think his name tag said “Sam”) was also working who was also super accommodating. I have never felt more welcome. I don’t know who reads these reviews but please send my biggest thanks to these too! They were the best and wonderfully welcoming! Oh, and the foods good too

We were passing through town and decided to give this place a shot. The food was decent… however the dinning room was closed. So we had to eat outside in the cold as it had just rained. I would like to think that the closer was due to covid. But no staff were wearing mask. Makes you think that they just shut down the dinning area so they could leave early.

2025 Update: This place has gone downhill over the past few years. Prices are ridiculous, it’s just not worth it anymore. Nothing bad to say about the employees, but morale and the quality of food and service have severely gone down since the change in management. I won’t be surprised if they eventually go out of business.

I love McAlister’s Deli! It’s the first restaurant I tried in Laramie, Wyoming and it is SO GOOD. They offer a variety of sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked potatoes. They also have a Choose 2 promo where you can get half of anything on the menu + half of anything else on the menu! They have one of the best sweet teas. Although, personally, I prefer their half sweet and half unsweet. It’s a nice place to dine in. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating as well!

I hadn’t been to this McAlister’s in about six months since I was away for the summer, and I was really looking forward to coming back — but I was extremely disappointed. There didn’t seem to be any clear manager on duty, and the staff came across as rude and completely unorganized. My food was terrible — the lettuce was wilted, and the meat was slimy. It’s honestly upsetting to see how far this location has gone downhill. I won’t be coming back.

Love McAlister’s Deli sandwiches and salads!!! Dining area is closed as of 9/11/2021 but takeout orders was real popular and sitting outside is available. Great location, clean restrooms and friendly staff! The guy at the cash register was a hoot!
