McAlister’s Deli is one of my wife’s favorites, and I totally get why. Great little spot for a quick bite — comfort food that’s easy, fast, and flat-out yummy. ✅

We ordered half potato and half chicken pecan salad with a delicious raspberry pecan vinaigrette. Skin was a little crispy like mom made way back when. Hubs had half pulled pork potato and half regular salad. Good portions. Everything was delicious and we left feeling satisfied without being weighed down. Customer service was friendly, attentive, and prompt. Definitely going back.

It’s good food, but the last time we were there we got served food with a hair in it. We asked for a replacement which they provided, but it had a different piece of hair in it! None of the kitchen staff are wearing hair nets and it seems to show… When the food doesn’t have hair in it, it’s delicious.

Everyone loves McAlister’s iced tea, it’s one of the things they’re the most famous for. I’m not big into sandwiches so it was not one of my go-to spots for lunch. One of my friends wanted to pop in and get a soup and sandwich combo so, as I was not very hungry, l agreed to meet her there. At first glance the menu is just sandwiches. Upon closer perusal, l discovered they have interesting baked potato toppings, several soup choices, and an insane variety of salads! Of course they had the traditional Chef, Chicken, and Caesar, but the Pecan Berry is to die for! Fresh crisp greens, strawberry slices, candied pecans, blueberries, grilled chicken and a nice variety of dressings, including the raspberry, pecan vinaigrette which is what I chose.
My friend ordered the chicken dumpling soup with the grilled chicken sandwich. The soup was served piping hot with steam curling over the bowl. It was a bit chilly out so I asked for a taste and it was so yummy! I felt like I could drink a gallon of just the broth. Thick and creamy with plenty of flavor, this soup reminded me of a southern style, homemade chicken and dumplings.
The only disappointment was in the half a French Dip sandwich l ordered to accompany my salad. Not a fan of red meat but once in a while I do like a French Dip. The bread was very good, thick and crusty with the right amount of melting when dipped into the au jus. The meat however, was chewy, flat and flavorless. It was so awful, l was only able to eat one or two bites before putting it away.
The service was excellent! We were greeted, with friendly smiles, by multiple staff members, and our order was taken efficiently. We received our food in a timely fashion and two different staff members checked on us while we were eating.
It was not very busy as we went about 10:45 on a Monday morning.
The restrooms were spotless and it was nice being able to access our beverages in a self-serve capacity.
This McAlister’s had indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere is conducive to either a business meeting or a simple get together with friends or acquaintances.
My friends and I will definitely eat here again so that we may experience the wonderful staff, relaxing environment, delicious salads and tasty soups.

Busy place. I got the Reuben to-go. I don’t recommend to-go since they don’t seem well set up for it. It’s more online pickup or dine in. When I hit the counter I asked for the sandwich and side, never got asked if I wanted a drink (thankfully no but talk about an easy upsell opportunity missed). Loud place, worker was really quiet and seemed to defy labor laws with her age. Couldn’t count back change at all it back easily.

Food was alright. Dense and filling. Nothing spectacular. I wouldn’t go back but wouldn’t be against going if someone suggested it. Good for people watching. I’ve never seen such a bizarre crowd…

The girl at the counter was rude. My friend ordered a salad and got a sandwich. The bread tasted like it had been microwaved and it was dry. Half of my salad was old and mushy. I did not get the side I ordered. The red velvet cheesecake is a thin piece of stale cake with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting. It wasn’t cheesecake and it was not the slightest bit fresh. The table next to me took a chair from our table while we were sitting there without saying anything then they proceeded to push their chairs into mine until we got up and moved. This was a $50 meal for 2 people that wasn’t worth $5. While we were there a guy next to us had to take his cold soup up to get warmed. I used to really like this restaurant but I won’t go back.

I got to the restaurant shortly after they opened. Manager was speaking Spanish loudly in on her cell phone behind the front counter. Very un professional. One of the things I ordered was regular lays chips. I was given vickies sea salt chips. I said i was supposed to get lays and the worker said they are the same thing. That is like saying coke and pepsi ate the same. They are not the same kind of potato chip at all. She said well that is what we have. She should have said that from the start. Food was average. Nothing special.

Called Isabella tonight she stated she was the manager I was calling to ask her to make my order right since you are in the customer service industry, I ordered a Reuben with a mac and cheese. My Ruben came not toasted with no mac and cheese so soggy bread, my wife ‘s choose two chicken Caesar salad had no chicken and no croutons so it was just lettuce and cheese. Our kids eat and share the mac and cheese so when we got home they were crying about not getting mac and cheese so here I am having to make food for the kids and when I asked for extra dressing the cooks gave such a bad look about having to grab that in the window. Isabella wanted to stand up for her cooks and say that they speak Spanish and that takes them a minute to process it in English what they need. But obviously she was just not worried about the customer rather than covering her Cook’s butt, Isabella did not want to give me a free meal the next time I came in. She said I could give you two sides because the mac and cheese is $0.99 so we cannot give you a free meal. Very unprofessional and does not care about customer service. She also wanted to stay that she does not have a general manager.

Sandwich was good! The country potato soup however was cold. They didn’t give us any silverware. I asked they brought over a set. Normally there is honey mustard on the side for your sandwich there was not. Had to ask for that. Also had to go back up to the counter for an extra set of silverware as I had soup and my daughter had salad. I got eye rolls. Also the female order taker seemed like she could care less. Also most of the staff barely spoke English. What has happened to this place?!
