Usual corporate restaurant spot so you pretty much know what you’re getting into going in. It’s a great place to eat and chat with friends. Food is pretty consistent at this location. Ordering our food from Stephanie was a delight she was super sweet. The big question is would I bring my grandma here? The answer is no she has dementia and probably would make a scene. But would I bring my family here? Yes.

The food at McAlister’s Deli is always good and delicious. There usually isn’t too long of a wait, and even when it seems busy or a little stressful, the staff always stays friendly and has a smile on their faces. That kind of consistency really makes a difference.
The tea is amazing every single time. I definitely recommend getting the Tea Pass, especially if you go more than twice a month like I do — you’ll absolutely get your money’s worth.
My personal favorite is either the Club Sandwich or one of their spuds. I especially enjoy the Veggie Spud. The store is always clean, and the atmosphere feels welcoming. Even when the line takes a few extra minutes, it’s never unreasonably long and moves at a steady pace.
Overall, it’s a great spot in San Angelo that I highly recommend.

My family and I stopped by upon our arrival in San Angelo. We found that the dining room was very clean and appreciated that we were immediately greeted by Saul. He remained attentive throughout our experience there and made sure our food was correct and hot. Thanks to Saul, we’ll definitely make this location our go to when in town.

The McAllister Club is an amazing sandwich. The restaurant was very clean and the employees were very polite. We didn’t have to wait for very long for our food to arrive. When they brought out my food they had given me the wrong side but the gentleman that brought it to us was very quick to replace it with what I had ordered.

We have visited multiple times over the last few weeks. The service has been terrible. They are VERY slow getting food prepared. They are more worried about chit chatting than serving their customers. The last visit we waited about an hour and they finally came and told us it only be a few more minutes. We ended up getting our food to go. Needless to say we probably will not he going back.

I never write reviews but felt the need to. Ordered online. I got a pick 2, club wrap with EXTRA honey mustard and a BOWL of broccoli cheddar. I got the saddest wrap ever with no honey mustard at all I can’t make this up. They also filled my bowl up half way don’t recommend this place seriously.

Food is great dont get me wrong but when this staff is in a rush they seem to be forgetful. This is the second time they have missed items in my to go order. Update: nov 2023 good sandwich but am choking on the cost. Sandwich chips drink $15.23. Was it worth it? Yes and no. Food was good. Order was correct which is a big positive these days. But….fans are on and it is freezing in here. Maybe less AC and food cost less? My tea was $4.18. That is quite a profit. Will probably go elsewhere from now on.
Update: sept 2023 had a wonderful meal with friends tonight. The soup is really excellent. It is not too salty and flavorful. Also enjoyed my Italian sandwich. I definitely recommend this deli for a quick good meal at a fair price.
Wow what a difference a location can make! This McAllisters is wonderful! I had a super friendly guy take my order and he gave me solid recommendations on an Italian sandwich and peach flavored sweet tea. I chose to come here because they have tables outside and I could bring my dog. We enjoyed the experience very much. Food was great and we will be back. I think this may be one of the only dog friendly places in San Angelo.

We love McAllister’s because they have TONS of healthy food options and it’s all delicious. Our kids enjoy it as well! My favorite is their broccoli cheddar bread bowl, my husband loves their sandwiches and my kiddos like their mac and cheese (and their cookies haha). The place is always nice and very clean, the service is quick and everything is always delicious.
