Upon driving up to this location, I noticed a very trashy parking lot including a used baby diaper near the entrance to the restaurant. The glass doors could also use a good cleaning. I can’t rate the food because I was there to pick up an order for door dash delivery although they forgot the drink. I had to ask them about it. It also looked like the manager had his two children there while he was working. Not a very good first impression.

Carrot cake to die for & always my usual Spudmax doesn’t disappoint! Wash those windows & tend to the restroom trash piled up at opening with a Mgr or DM or owner (idk) sitting in the dining area….lady at the door was very welcoming & pleasant.

I placed my first order through Door Dash for McAlister’s on 3/3/22. My fiancé and I both ordered the choose 2 option. We each choose a sandwich and the ultimate nachos with our own preferences. We each received only half of our order. We both received our sandwiches (which were probably only correct because we had no edits to them) but no nachos for either of us. My sandwich bread was over baked and borderline burnt.
I do not hold this against Door Dash since I know the drivers aren’t allowed to check the food. I expect more from McAlister’s. We had dinner there a few nights ago and the food as well as the service were both great. It is very disappointing to know that the same service quality is not put forth with pickup orders.

Incredible service, smiling faces, hot fresh food, incredible and clean vibe. Couldn’t ask for anything more! So grateful to the leadership team and the staff for doing McAlisters justice and giving Lake Charles another GO-TO place!!

The wait to be served was 16 minutes. The New Yorker is dry and cold to touch. The chipotle bacon ranch spud was ok but dry. I’m not a big fan but if you are please enjoy. Border line 2 ⭐⭐ stars.

I’ve been to a few McAlister’s Delis over the years (including the original one in Lake Charles that closed down years ago, and this one is pretty much like all of them. The service is decent, food is pretty good, and the atmosphere is pleasant. This location is pretty small but that’s okay with me. Some of the tables could have used a wipe down but otherwise everything was fine.

If I could give negative stars, I would! This “chicken club sandwich” with a bag of chips and a drink was almost $20. The bread was soggy.

I ordered a cheese sandwich with ham, to go. Plain and dry. The ticket read correctly. When I open the sandwich to check, it had mustard on both buns. That’s a complete dealbreaker for me. The issue was I was 6 miles away, with no time to go back.
My coworker gave me half of his 12” French Dip, and he eat the mustard cheese & ham sandwich. The French Dip sandwich was full of gristle, it was disgusting.
I can’t see giving this place another chance!!!

I ordered online and picked up at the restaurant window. The wait for food was about 35 minutes. The woman who initially greeted me at the window appeared confused why I was there. The second woman told me after 20 minutes sorry for the wait “they had to make some more”. The wait seemed longer than expected. After this wait, I was given the wrong baked potato. My club wrap included the large pickle spears, despite the no pickle sticker directly stuck on the sandwich. The club wrap was mediocre. Same with the French dip. The child’s pretzel dogs were below average. Did not taste fresh. The overall long wait for wrong food or less than fresh will assure I’m not returning.
