Do not order food to go from this restaurant! I ordered $85 worth of food. When we arrived to pick up our order, my son asked to make sure everything was included in the tied bag, and was told yes. When we arrived home we realized we were missing sauce for French dips multiple macaroni and cheeses. At this point I called and spoke to Brennan who told me he’d give me a few cookies to make up for it the next time I was in town. I asked how this would make up for missing sides and the sauce that makes the sandwich the whole reason you order it and he said it was what he could do. After taking everything out we then also realized that we were missing soup and my daughter had ordered fresh fruit for the side of her meal. I have a family of seven used to get McCallister often however I will never spend another dollar at the store seeing as how they couldn’t even make their mistake correct. I have now thrown away multiple sandwiches and have two very sad children because they wanted mac and cheese as their main and I made them order something else with the side a mac and cheese. If you like to get what you order or at least trust a restaurant will fix your order and give you what you paid for then do not eat here
Edit: After submitting my review the district manager reached out to me to apologize for my experience and chose to issue a full refund in response to the bad experience. While I may not again get a to-go order until trust in the restaurant is rebuilt I definitely will take my family to eat there. I greatly appreciate the customer service shown by the District Manager, and feel that the restaurant has shown that they do in fact care about their customers.

Sandwich was pretty good. Wanted to order a potato but they were out so got the macaroni and they didn’t charge me the upcharge. The macaroni was really pretty good. My French dip was good too. My mom enjoyed her sandwich and tortilla soup. When I feel like going out for a sandwich I’ll definitely keep this place on my radar.

We were driving through and looking for a familiar place to eat, so we stopped here. I’m almost jealous of the people who regularly get to eat here. Compared to home, the service and food was phenomenal. The food was very quickly prepared (we actually had plates at our table before we all sat down!) Staff checked on us multiple times. And tables were cleaned almost immediately. Good job McAlister’s of Salina!

Wonderful place to eat. My son and I were looking for a new place to try and I had sandwiches here from work at one time when we had a meeting. The french dip sandwiches my son and I had were excellent! The loaded bacon baked potato that I had was excellent too. The portions were so big we had to take our food home some of our food home and take out containers. Staff brought our food out to us. I enjoy the Mephtan Sandwich. The French dip sandwich was also excellent too with its dipping sauce. Is a great recommendation if you don’t want to go to Panera or McAlister’s Deli. The manager and the staff were very courteous and kind!

I got an entirely different vibe from the cashier when I didn’t tip her for pushing buttons on the register. I also got about a teaspoon(not exaggerating) of sauerkraut on my Reuben sandwich. They ‘forgot’ my side salad. Mid afternoon, 1 table of customers and me with a to go pickup. I’m going to continue stopping by and will run my own unscientific experiment to compare when I tip and when I don’t tip.

During our visit to McAlister’s in Salina, we were impressed by the spacious dining room, which offered plenty of tables and chairs, as well as a large bar with tall chairs for sitting. The decor nicely incorporated elements of Salina, and the large windows allowed for an abundance of natural light, creating a welcoming environment.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. The menu was extensive, featuring a wide variety of sandwich options, numerous sides, and a selection of soups and spuds. With so many choices, there’s something to satisfy most people’s tastes. McAlister’s in Salina is definitely a great spot for a casual and enjoyable meal.
