I went to this location tonight around 7:50 to grab dinner for my wife and I. I didn’t realize they closed at 8 because every other Mcalister’s in town closes at 9. They still took my order and I apologized profusely for being “that guy.” This is my sandwich, burnt on one side and completely untoasted on the other. I would have understood if they turned me away, but to burn my food out of spite is childish and immature. At least I didn’t pay full price, because they gave me my Veteran discount, but I really wish I would have waited to tip because this is BS.

Ordered thru the append still took over 20 minutes even though the dinning room had 3 tables and seemed like there was nothing else going on. Both our meals were missing several items that were all unchanged. The food was decent but really Panera is just a short walk away with much better food and service. Even if I had a free meal here it’s not likely I’d go back.

Great choice for lunch. The chose 2 combo gets a choice of soup/sandwich/salad/potato.
Loved the strawberry pecan salad and BBQ chicken sandwich as my 2. A good value with lots of interesting items to try.
This is my wife’s favorite lunch place when travelling since we have none in our area. I’ve been to a number of McAlister’s over the years but still haven’t covered the breadth of their menu. I still want to try a potato.

It’s been over 2 years since I’ve reviewed this McAlister’s, so here ya go.
The menu has shrunk a little, but that’s ok. The food is tasty. But the fact that we always receive great service at the N. Kansas Expressway location will keep me coming back.

The menu looked awesome and I love all the options available for baked potatoes, but the flavor just didn’t really come through. It looks better than it tastes. I will say that the cookie was pretty darn good.

My husband and I went here for lunch before a doctors appointment. Upon arriving, there wasn’t anyone else in the store. We ordered our food, paid, and sat down. After about 10 minutes, we hadn’t received our food. At this point an employee came out asking if we got a chicken salad sandwich. I told her no, I ordered the southwest sandwich and a side salad and what my husband ordered. She responds with okay and walks away. After 20 minutes of not receiving our food my husband goes up to the front to ask the status on it. The employee didn’t even ask what we had ordered, or check the screen, he immediately told him they were working on it. He says okay and sits down.
Now it’s been about 40 minutes and still no food. At this point I’m getting irritated because people that came in after us were getting their food and we now had to be across town in 20 minutes for an appointment. I went to the front to ask about or food and the employee asked what we ordered and I told her. She then grabs our food that had been bagged up (was not supposed to be to go) and tell her manager they figured what happened with order number 123.
She tells me they couldn’t figure out whose order it was and tries to hand it to me. I told her the food was supposed to be for here and that it has already been sitting for 40 minutes. Not to mention we aren’t going to be able to eat it all now because I have a doctors appointment across town and what we ordered isn’t really convenient to eat as drive. The employee gets an attitude, huffs and says, “so, what? Do you want a refund?” As she snatches the food off the counter.” I tell her yes, because we haven’t even gotten to eat the food and we already paid for it. She calls her manager over who had trouble processing the refund and tells us that he has to call his manager to figure out what’s wrong with the system. I express to him that we now have 15 minutes to make it across town and cannot wait. He ensures that he will talk to his manager and get the situation figured out and refunded. It’s been about 2 weeks and still no refund.
