I arrived at 8:05 PM, approximately 55 minutes before closing. Having worked in both food service and retail, I completely understand late customers, but arriving nearly an hour before close should not be an issue.
We attempted to order one specific baked potato and were told it was unavailable. I then asked if there was anything else that was out of stock and was told no. When I proceeded to order a different option, the cashier went to the back to confirm, where another employee responded negatively and mentioned, “Mind you, we close in 45 minutes,” in a dismissive tone.
There was also loud music with inappropriate language playing from the back area, which was unprofessional. I made it clear that I was aware of the closing time and that this was a takeout order. Despite this, it was evident we were not welcome, so we chose to leave.
The cashier, Antonio, was polite and appeared to be following direction from the back. Overall, the experience made us feel unwelcome despite arriving well before closing. Very disappointing service and something that management should address.

Stopped in to try this sandwich place. Mainly cause I saw they had a baked potato and I had a sudden urge for one . So sorry I can’t rate a sandwich but the menu looked good. There are not many places to easily get a baked potato. It was bigger than I thought. Toppings were tasty and glad they added a side of butter and sour cream for when you get to the bottom of the potato and there are no toppings left ! Clean and cool inside . Workers friendly and helpful to the menu. Lots of parking and seating outside. Prices are about average or a tich higher but you seem to get more than your moneys worth. Good place for a lunch bite or to pick up some sandwiches for dinner!! I’m coming back!

This place is amazing! Great interior design (felt very cozy and welcoming), they played some good oldies, great menu choices, low prices, and amazing food!
I ordered the McAlister’s club and the cold cuts and honey mustard were on point. I drank some of their famous iced tea with it and it paired well.
They offer bread bowls with soups as well and they were pretty satisfactory. Toasted to perfection and served with a proper amount of soup.
Definitely coming here again. This is a new regular spot for me, sorry Panera!

The food is great. The browkies rock as always. You must get 4 browkies with each visit. The tea is amazing. Easily the best tea in the state of Illinois. Go eat at this location. The manager Roy is the best! Super friendly. The cashier Robin is super nice and cares about your order and eating experience. A must go to place!

Needed a last minute order for catering for 50 people. The store manager here was so very helpful in the ordering process. Their website was glitching and helped me get my order into the system on her end. The quality of the sandwhiches was excellent and we really appreciated, how well everything was done. Top notch customer service!!! I order takeout from McAlister’s Deli frequently bc it is fast and I enjoy their hearty salads. Today my order was missing an item. I had ordered through Instacart via Uber Eats and when I tried reaching out to Uber Eats I kept being told my order number was wrong and they wouldn’t connect my call. Complete dead end. I called McAlister’s and Laura answered. I asked if I could have a refund for my missing item and communicated that I had tried Uber Eats with no success. She remembered packing my order which was complete when it left and apologized for the mistake. She offered to call Uber Eats herself to help me get my refund since she could not process the refund herself. She gave me a call back number to check in with her if I didn’t see the refund in the next couple of days. Absolutely blown away by that level of customer service. THANK YOU Laura!
In the end, after some sleuthing, I was able to get the refund through Instacart and called the restaurant back to let them know Laura did not need to follow up.

Please put this place out of its misery and shut down or sell it to someone who will care. 2 employee….1 to take order and 1 to make food on a Saturday at 12:30pm. Both employees are equally miserable and not only do I think they hate their job they might hate each other. So rude and condescending to every customer. Both employees were young and I know they don’t own the place. Food was ok but not like other locations. Clearly a owner issue!

My first time at McAlister’s which I made known when ordering. I had the pick two and asked which sandwiches and salads were included and we were told all. After reviewing my bill at the table I asked the worker what the additional charges on my bill were and was told I ordered “premium salad and sandwich”. I politely mentioned I was surprised since I asked before ordering what was included. The food was very good, restaurant was very clean and fresh but feeling a little up sold on the food. Be careful when ordering.
