So lets just say we grab food from here a lot.
She loves their Spud Max, Chicken Tortilla Soup and we Both enjoy their Sandwiches, Sweet Teas, cookies etc.
Stopped in today to grab some lunch she got the Half and Half Chicken Tortilla Soyp and the McAllister Club sandwich and 3 cookies and a brownie and I got the New Yorker with the Sweet Tea.
Everything came out fast no issues. Service was great and their was a worker their that was actually walking around asking how everything was good. ( They don’t usually have that so it was a surprise ).
The amount of meat they have on these Sandwiches makes the sandwich good. New Yorker is a hearty Meaty Cornbeef Pastrami sandwich while the Club sandwich is Hearty But refreshing due to the lettuce, tomatoes cheese. Soups are also great don’t taste water down like a lot of other places.
The only thing that bother me today was when I got my Sweet tea the Tea was not that sweet now that taste like its water down.
So I went to grab the unsweetened one just to make sure and I was right.
Then I grab the sweet tea from another one and that one tasted like the sweet tea McAllister is known for.
They had 3 Teas put out YES I know which was which lol.
1 on your left is sweet the middle unsweetened and the right Sweet.
Highly recommend place to grab a bite.
Its a bit pricey but it’s worth it.
Oh and if you like pickles their pickle is great love it.
I’m really having doubts that I’ll ever return
I have attached the photo of the Mac and cheese that ended getting thrown in the trash.
Note: I did send an email before posting this review to give the establishment an opportunity to offer to try again to see if they could do better and this was just a “bad day” however they didn’t respond to the email.
Went on a Monday afternoon expecting things to be slow.. the restaurant was completely full! I opted for takeout which still took a little while but worth it! Food was just as described, staff was very helpful and I left satisfied!
It was pretty tasty overall (did have some tomato cores -3 in the salad)
Probably would still suggest it to someone looking for a chef salad. Never been to McAllisters before but I might try it again.
Salad did have spring mix and head lettuce so that was a plus.
Went thru the drive up window so I am not gonna rate the atmosphere.
And carrot cake is a MUST TRY!
