This place has amazing combination soup sandwich, or sandwich baked potato. They have great cookies. They also have really good flavored lemonades and their sweet tea is the best ever five stars on that sweet tea very clean restaurant inside and out with great service.

It’s a shame that you go into the restaurant and no one is in there, but it takes 45 minutes to fix your food. Then that was my first experience. Second appearance, I go and you have a line of people that’s waiting to put there order in to their food and it’s still not ready. Then people come in after me, but then they leave before me. So in other words, I spent my whole lunch. D trying to get some nachos. All of this is happening during lunch hours. There’s no way your company can get people in and out during their lunch time. One person on the on the register, 3 people in back getting food, then someone comes in to get ready for work. And then they helping out with the orders from the phone or on online orders and Mexico says very disappointed.

I am specifically writing this Google review for MESSIAH because he accepted our complicated, multi-party, in-person order with grace, professionalism, and efficiency. He also tried to intelligently upsell us drinks, but was very kind when we declined. Moreover, he accurately read back our order to us and skipped the machine’s automatic begging for tips without even me asking him to. When I asked if I could tip Messiah, he said “No I skipped that for you.” This provides that Messiah is specifically working to add value to customers and his company instead of attempting to enrich himself selfishly. Thank you for hiring and retaining such an excellent professional to serve us!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!
This location needs to be shut down immediately. There has to be a form of retraining the staff. From management, front cashiers, to food prep. This establishment has poor customer and the food is terrible. This the second time I’ve received an incorrect order. Asked management if I could receive a refund, was told that I’d receive $5 off my next order??? I can’t enjoy my meal because my sandwich and veggies was burnt. The salad was incomplete (missing the berries) the veggie club was incomplete (missing onions, avocado, and spinach). The king club had no lettuce or bacon. This is a waste of a trip.

We recently went to McAlister’s in Merrillville. Service was good food, atmosphere was all great sweet tea was very good that’s always plus being from Louisiana (hard to find good sweet tea). Messiah was our cashier/server he was very friendly and good customer service thank you very much. We will return to eat again.

This location was in good shape all around. Others with a similar layout are often dark & rough looking. More Sure to the layout design, making it difficult for those behind the counter to see the state of the front or entrance.
I’m grateful for their honesty – I places an order via the app at the wrong location, (one on the other end of the state). They were good enough to refund me, without a penalty. The ppl at this location were helpful & friendly.

The cashier was not friendly; awful customer service! She continued to fill up the tea jugs and had us wait to order before coming to the register. No hello, no how can I help you. She just stood there! When we were brought our order, half the ingredients on the sandwich were not put on the sandwich! Do not recommend!! We will not eat there again!

Don’t waste your time or money going here.
I ordered my husband and I food here tonight. Spent almost $40. I was the only pick up order, yet I get home, 35 min away, to see they left out a side and a bowl of soup. That’s almost $10 I’m missing. I called only to be told they can’t refund me because they apparently can’t refund only part of an order-how that’s possible I don’t know.
Then I’m told I should come back a different day but only certain hours when a certain employee is there. Sorry I can’t work around your schedule when you screwed up?
I was also told they can’t refund my order (I don’t expect the whole thing to be refunded but if your system doesn’t allow partial refunds then honestly that’s not my problem when you screwed up) because the manager will be mad at them and give them crap for refunding food that was given…again, not my problem being that I don’t have control over your payment system and the fact that you forgot things.
I’m honestly shocked at the lack of common sense customer service. Definitely won’t be ordering from this location again.
