We have been coming to McAllister’s on Wednesday evenings for a couple years- two free kids meals for one adult dinner is so great. It WAS so great up until some time last year when the portion sizes significantly shrunk. Significantly. I know most places are increasing their prices and I don’t think they did so I accepted that. But tonight was so small I had to feed my 6 year old when we got home. Even worst was the “toasted cheese” my daughter was served. I hope the photo gives you an idea. It must be at least one day old and should have way more cheese. Very hard. Very dry. Like, not even food. They did mildly apologize- no explanation though-and remake and provide a free meal card. And I wasn’t going to write a review because I don’t want to cause trouble but after seeing so many negative reviews with similar complaints I decided to write this in hopes that somehow the accumulation of complaints might make a difference.

I will start by saying I have been to other McAlister’s as a point of reference. The flavors were still good, but as you can see from my pictures, the portions were a little bit skewed.
Both sandwiches we ordered had what looked like not even one thin strip of bacon for the entire sandwich and on the club I asked for The Swiss to be swapped out with cheddar and they charged me $1 and gave me two thin slices of cheddar cheese total. Please inform me if my expectations are too high for a $10-$12 sandwich.
All in all, I still recommend this place for the quality and taste of the food.

My Mother and I a late lunch at McAlister’s on the corner of Tazewell Pike & North Broadway in Knoxville, TN yesterday. My Mother ordered the Spud Max minus Black Olives and I ordered a Bowl of their Fire Chili & Just a Spud with Rotel Cheese Dip via the Choose 2. While reviewing the menu, I realized it basically is cheaper to purchase a Gallon of Sweet than it is to buy 2 Large Teas if you are planning to leave with your food & drinks. I ordered a Gallon of Tea to go as well (which was cheaper). Their service was quick and out ordered was correctly. On their menu, I noticed that they added Butter Pecan Cheesecake, Colossal Carrot Cake & a Red Velvet Cookie under the desserts section. Added the Honey BBQ Pork Nachos to their Shareables section. Plus Honey BBQ Pork Spud to their Giant Spuds section. I did not ordered any of the new options but noticed them on their menu. Their restaurant is clean, plenty of parking, Wheelchair accessible as well, and The Staff are friendly & helpful.

No butter, no sour cream, no salt and pepper, and no knife to cut it. I asked for all of this in the ap when ordering and again at the window and didn’t get any of it. It is so aggravating when you are eating in your car and can’t go back. And they ask for a tip up front! Ugg

My order wasn’t complete! My husband ordered the ultimate nachos and there was no chili! I called the store and they said it was in the bottom of the rotel, there was no chili! All he got was a box of chips and cheese! Then they continued asking me if I put the rotel on the chips, there was no chili! Meal for 2 cost over $30.00, you can eat at Cracker Barrel cheaper than that! Will never go back…

Excellent sandwichs. Never fails to satisfy. Frequently order takeout from here. Eat in occasionally. Have tried several different sandwiches and they always are delicious. Plenty of meat and other ingredients, always on fresh bread. Friendly staff and clean dining room.

The service and quality of our meals at this location were outstanding! The manager is very pleasant and Hunter was so very accommodating to bring our food out to a table outside. My 90 year old father uses a walker and the handicap parking is a short walk to the door. We also had our yellow lab with us on the outside patio dining area. The best McAllister’s Deli that we’ve visited.

I went through the drive-through to pick up my order. My Caesar salad was warm likely because it was bagged with a hot baked potato. My dressing had a hair in it! Thankfully the hair was on top or I likely wouldn’t have seen it. The quality of their food definitely doesn’t match their prices. However, when I called the store back the manager quickly offered to mail me a card to replace my salad.
