I placed an order for Windowside Pick-up today. The app stated that it would be ready at 11:13 AM. I sat there until 12:03 PM and had no choice, but to abandon my very paid for lunch and go back to work.
The woman at the window asked for my name, then disappeared. Then, a man came to the window and in the waiting process, he asked me for my name 5 times. The phone in the store was constantly ringing off the hook, no one answering it. There were 6 cars behind me that LEFT, and when I finally decided to follow suit, there were another 5 behind me.
No apologies, no “we’re working on it,” just “I’m still waiting” every fifteen minutes or so.
Last week, I ordered my lunch with three cookies. One to take home to my man, one to take home to each of my kids. I never got those. I didn’t mention it because sometimes, things happen, but THIS experience went too far.
I have filed a complaint to the company with no response as of yet. I know it doesn’t matter to anyone in general, but I will NEVER be going back here, and neither should you.
I will say, when you’re ABLE to get the food you pay for, it’s actually pretty decent. But not decent enough to be worth the hassle to get it.

Late from lunch break due to sitting in the drive thru for 15 mins without being greeted! Every time I visit this location there is an issue. Last time there was hair in my salad. Waited months to give them another chance and I instantly regret it! Bad lettuce in salad!!

I normally go here for pickup but I’m not sure what happened today. I paid almost $17 for a cup of beans and half a sandwhich with no au jus. Very disappointed. The past times I order the gumbo soup it was soup. This is bea slurry no soup and they forgot my au just sauce for my sandwich. My sandwich is cold. Come on yall…

Man. Cannot believe how far McAlister’s has fallen. This was easily the worst experience we’ve ever had at any location. Store is nice and new. Service is poor. Food was disappointing too. Even our kid’s grilled cheese sandwich was bad. Hard as a rock and looked about 3 days old. Somehow it still took 15 mins to make. Won’t be back and that’s disappointing because McAllister’s used to be great. Need new management and staff immediately.

This was an AWFUL experience. I did a mobile order @2:14pm and the app said estimated pickup was @2:39pm so i pull up to the pickup window @2:40pm and they were looking at me like I was crazy, because they lost my order! There was no communication, 4 different people came and asked me what I needed and I told all of them “i am waiting for an order for Breanna”, one man came up asked me what i ordered and i started reading it off and he walked away midsentence and then came back again and asked for the confimation number…I finally recieved my order at 3:05pm….and my soup was COLD! I am disgusted at the level of customer service! I will never go back!

We didnt dine in. We stayed at a hotel close by (walking distance) I was so hungry after surgery. I got the club. My husband the Rubin. His only issue was it wasnt saucey enough but he really liked it. We also got soup. My only complaint was the bacon should be a little more crispy. He loved is broccoli cheddar soup.. otherwise….so so good. And the price was shocking. 2 sandwiches and 2 cups of soup ..less than 40.00…yes please!

Ordered dine in for lunch. It wasn’t too busy and my wait time was 10-15 minutes after ordering. My food was tasty and exactly how I ordered it. There’s a free 32oz sweet tea when you sign up for the app. I’ve been to this location multiple times and always appreciate their service and food.

First time trying McAlisters. Ordered a King Club (Angus beef, bacon, lettuce, honey mustard, tomatoe, cheese) and a BLT + A sandwich. The BLT was supposed to be with avocado. I didn’t taste the avocado on the sandwich, but it was good nonetheless. This restaurant serves Miss Vickies chips. Nothing really spectacular about this sandwich shop. Experience wasn’t bad, but not outstanding either. Very blah.

The staff didnt seem happy to serve anyone. The look on their faces after dropping off a dish to some folks at their table said they were inconvenienced by having to do so. The order was correct all four days I stopped here for my to go dinner. The salads are wonderful with great dressings! Will return when I’m out in Birmingham again. Thank you for a unique salad!

Never again. I WISHED I’d read the reviews b4 coming. EVERY bad one was SO accurate! The food is poorly prepared, the staff is nice but SUPER overwhelmed, and it’s an hour wait for this mediocre good even after ordering online. They do NOT offer curbside like other locations so even though they charge the same prices, they are EXTREMELY over priced compared to every other location in the area. Save yourself the headache and spend a couple extra dollars in gas to go to the Bessemer location. You will NOT regret it! Oh yea I paid $20 for a half sandwich, cup of soup and bowl of soup. It’s my thought it all went towards the building being pretty and not training for the staff nor the food served.
