One star. Stopped at Mcallister’s Deli tonight for a pickup deli sandwich, loaded baked potato, broccoli soup, and kid’s mac ‘n’ cheese. Girl at the window couldn’t take Apple Pay, had me pull inside. Forgot to mention, I actually tipped anyway. Drove home, bag had pizza instead of mac, butter but no potato. Headed back with my son, handed over the wrong stuff, she swore it’s fixed. Nope pizza again, same receipt. Told her three times, offered to pay extra just to end it. Finally got the mac, but zero apology, zero fix on price. If you hate surprises, skip this joint.

I tried McAlister’s Deli for the first time the other day and it was delicious. My food came out quickly, and the staff was friendly. I ordered the French Dip. It was nice to get a sandwich with a decent amount of meet on it! The atmosphere is relaxing, they play older music so it’s nostalgic. I will be going back soon!

If you go, make sure to go in person! Every single time I have ordered out from this place they get the order wrong. And they usually will not include sides like chips or anything. I feel like since they know it’s being delivered that people aren’t going to drive back to the location to complain so they don’t take care with your order. Furthermore, they usually won’t get my order right in store. I absolutely hate onions, so whenever I order one of their potatoes I’ll ask for it without onions and every time they gave it to me with onions. The only time they didn’t was when I just told them I was allergic to onions to get it without onions – which they finally did give it to me without onions. Once you get over the fact that your order most likely will be wrong, their food is pretty good. I like almost all of their different potatoes, and I love their French dip sandwich. However, the fact that they get my food wrong always makes me more disinclined to visit.

We’re accustomed to eating at this franchise in our hometown and we weren’t disappointed with this location. A bit smaller footprint than the ones we regularly visit but the food and service was excellent.

McAlister’s Deli, you should be ashamed to give these out to your customers. I do realize that there are many changes and adjustments being made across our nation. I would rather you not serve the chips if this is what you are so graciously handing out.
