I really wanted some good soup, so I searched soup near me, and this place popped right up. This place was nice and welcoming, clean, and the staff was very helpful. I ordered the 2 choice, the country potato soup and the horseradish roast beef sandwich. The soup was delicious! I was able to top it with cheese, bacon, and green onions! The sandwich was amazing. The bread was nice and soft. I’m super happy I stumbled across this place. The next time I’m in town, I will definitely come back! There are plenty of seating in the restaurant and a very nice outdoor seating area!

I just want to take a minute and express my appreciation for an incredible job by the McAlisters on Wards Rd. I needed to place a big order for a training at work and because I had special requests items I couldn’t use the normal catering option, but manager Shakita Jackson worked directly with me and I emailed her spreadsheet with 43 orders 33 sandwiches & chips and 10 salads, including names per order and she and the crew of McAllister‘s including the general manager Heather went above and beyond. Everything was packaged so neatly every employee’s name was included on their order whether it was a sandwich or salad I just want them to know how greatly appreciative I am for their work and their effort and I will definitely use them again for future meetings and luncheon if they are willing to give repeat services! Thank you ladies and the staff Who assisted in my order for February 24, 2026.

My husband & I popped into McAlister’s (Lynchburg, VA) for lunch while we were in town for a quick stay.
The service was excellent, and the food was wonderful! We were greeted by several staff members, and the Asst. Manager, Shekita, was so personable and hospitable.

Mcalister’s Deli really delivers an authentic Deli experience. Their sandwiches are Packed with meat- unlike a lot of restaurants that give you an Exaggerated “picture”! Also, they are very efficient in ordering and bringing your food to Table with a Friendly attitude. We keep coming back, that’s the highest recommendation we can give!!

Very disappointed. I ordered ultimate nacho to go. I basically got a to go box of tortillas. The cheese sauce and chili sauce were packed separately which is what i asked for. I am as serious as cane be there was maybe 3-4 tablespoon of chili liquid. I would not recommend this place for nachos unless you were looking for chips

I love their BLT+A minus the A. They have a friendly staff and great food. The herb mayo blends well with the bacon. Their potato salad is very good too. Their sweet tea is amazing. Definitely recommend this place if you enjoy fresh deli foods.

Had the BEST experience today, Skylar and Talia gave me the best service I have ever gotten today, I was ordering a quart of soup and when I told them I was getting it because my pregnant wife was craving it, they where so sweet and loaded me up with cookies pickles and saltine crackers for her, and also wrote a sweet note on the cookie, amazing service if their manager sees this, give them a raise
