This particular McAlister’s is fantastic!
I’ve been to a couple others in the area and they aren’t as warm and welcoming as this one! The food is great, fresh and tasty!
The only problem I have with McAlister’s is I think they are expensive for a deli, especially compared to Panera Bread with is very comparable but a lot cheaper.

Great sandwich with a salad. I had the Memphian and the southwest avocado chicken salad. I really enjoyed the sandwich. This was my first time having a meal from McAllisters that wasn’t catering. Much better than expected. I would definitely go again.

This place is really hit or miss. Sometimes the food is great and sometimes, like last week, I order a spud and half of the spud (it’s 2 potatoes put together) is raw and tough. I do have to say that the cashiers are always friendly.

I visited on a Friday afternoon to get some pre-movie eats convenient to the University Mall Theater just two minutes walk away. On this occasion, staff appeared busy with a large catering order but still served me promptly and cordially. After being politely corrected about what I could select as part of the Choose Two option (not two half sandwiches — my mistake entirely), I landed on a half New Yorker sandwich and a half southwest chicken salad along with sides of tomato and cucumber salad, steamed broccoli, and fruit. The ordering and payment process flowed smoothly, as the attendant confirmed my order before I paid. My food was cheerfully delivered to my table within what seemed five minutes, pleasantly quick under the circumstances.
The quality of my order hit the right notes. The salad had a pleasing balance of ingredients overall, and the dressing was so good I actually thought about trying to take the left over amount home. The chicken could be either shredded or cut a little more to disperse the protein more equally, but the flavors were welcome summer eating to be sure. The sandwich likewise had a generous not gluttonous portion of corned beef, mustard, and cheese melted fresh. A little more pastrami would have made the sandwich more balanced for my taste, but the value and combined flavor was still quite enjoyable. The broccoli florets were steamed reasonably well and portioned properly. The diced tomatoes could have been fresher even if the overall salad had crispy cucumbers. The pineapple segments were ripe and juicy.
My total bill came to $17 including tax and excluding tip. I could see myself experimenting with other sandwiches and maybe one of the potatoes to see how the quality expresses in those offerings. A good lunch or light dinner place to be sure.

I’ve heard rave reviews about this place and while it didn’t blow my mind, it was good. The servings are a bit small but the cashiers were nice and efficient, and the food came out quickly. My biggest gripe is the disparity between their fountain drink and water cups. I think that’s a leading cause of so many health problems in the US as a whole.

Like a Panera. The turkey wrap was good but their cookies are awesome. Nice big eating area with outdoor seating as well. Everything was clean and tidy. Customer service was top notch!

First visit. I loved the food. The service was very poor. I had a to go order w half salad, half sandwich. I realized there was no salad dressing I went back up and got 1. Then before leaving I looked closer and I realized my pecan salad (it is in the name) didn’t have any pecans and my sandwich didn’t have a pickle. I was met with eye rolls and it took a few more minutes to give me some pecans and a pickle. They weren’t apologetic at all and didn’t even try to hurry even though it was the same person who I just talked to about the first error I found minutes before. So I spent at least 10 minutes at the counter (2 times) trying to get my order correct. It didn’t occur to them at all that there were multiple errors with my order and they might hurry or be nice about it! Everyone working there is zoned out (you could even say zombie like) and going in slow motion! I felt invisible and they were not that busy! Customer service seriously lacking! So even though the food was very good doubt I will be back!

Horrible customer service at this location. I walked in and the counter person was sorting cookies and did not acknowledge me until I said something to her. I ordered the 2fer which includes a sandwich and a salad. They put the sandwich on top of the salad. I also ordered the pork nachos and they put all the condiments in the same container. The manager Stephanie was not concerned with my complaints and concerns . Will not be back to this location
