I get off work really late and this is the only place open when I come home at the end of the night and I love to stop for a little treat.I have never once been disappointed, food is always hot, fresh, and adequate enough. The service has always been super friendly and top tier every time I’ve been. Tonight there were two young men working the window area / taking orders, they were extremely nice and patient and helped me figure out what I needed, thank you guys for all your hard work and the service you provide!!

I don’t usually stop at McDonald’s but I was on the road for a long trip, so I pulled over to try this new McDonald’s in gainesville. I noticed the service was great and karlton and his team were very respectful everything I heard one of the employees speak it was respectful. I noticed how much karlton was checking on employees just as much as the customers. I thought to my self I would have this man as a supervisor or a corporal in my business. But I did see one caveat. It was the man power I hate to see a place fall short for not having enough staff on each shift. I know that the owners will run it how they want but every employee was running from point A to B, I know this was the convenience of the customer but it still hurt seeing that if they had 2 or 3 more people on shift that it would help the operation flow more smoothly. Try not to run the soldiers you do have into the ground when another hand would make so much difference. But this was a good shift. I will visit a bit more at this location.

I’m disappointed with the experience at the new McDonald’s at 1402 North Grand Ave, Gainesville, TX.
The food was not fresh—my McMuffin was hard. I also placed a specialty order and was upcharged without being told. When I questioned why the total was so high, the attendant stated, “I just take the money, I don’t do the order,” and could not explain the charge. I then asked to speak with the person who actually took the order.
What made this worse is learning that they automatically ring meals as medium or large unless you specifically request a small—which you are not asked about upfront. Customers should be asked what size they want, not charged more by default without explanation.
For a location that’s been open less than a month, this lack of food freshness, pricing transparency, and communication is concerning. I hope management addresses this quickly.

This has to be the worst service I have ever experienced. The setup is terrible. If you need anything you have to yell because no one acknowledges you if you stand at the counter. Employees in the back yelling and very disorganized. Took almost 10 minutes just to get a spoon.

This McDonald’s needs to step it up. I worked at McDonald’s in the mid 90s. We had the 55second Drive-Thru Campaign. It is embarrassing that they have to park us for a wait on Coffee. I mean, it’s breakfast. Be ready and stay ready with Coffee. 10 min wait is simply unacceptable at a Drive-Thru.

I’m 65 and have of course, been to McDonald’s my entire life. I do not like where it’s going today. This is the new one that just opened and it’s the absolute most desolate, unfriendly, cold (atmosphere, not temp) restaurant I’ve been in my entire life. When you walk in, there are 4 large self-service screens…the same ones in most McDonald’s now. The register is unmanned. Behind the register where there has forever been the massive lit up menu board…it’s just a barren wall…not even a picture…nothing. I had an issue with ordering and needed assistance, so I walked up to the register, but couldn’t see anyone. I had to walk around it, so I could peak around the corner and loudly ask for help. A person came out, didn’t speak English, so went back to get someone who did and I then received my help. She was pleasant and helpful and when was sure I was ok, went back into hiding around and behind the walls. You place your order on the large computer type screen, then wait a bit. When the food is delivered, they come out from the back kitchen area, acknowledged it was my order, placed it on the multi-shelves for you, say thank you and go back in hiding. You don’t even see the person as a whole person. They’re are behind a shelving area with no backing on it, so you just see parts of the person. When I walked into the restaurant, I was the only one…again…cold…lonely…no employee to be seen becuase they’re all in the back. She didn’t even bother, since there was no one else in the dining area, go around the shelf and hand me my bag and drink…just put it on the shelf, smiled and scurried back to the cooking/hiding area. I will not be back ever again. I will instead drive the extra distance to the other ‘normal’ McDonald’s across town.
